General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

Hi Guys,

I'm running Aeva Media 1.1b on SMF 2.0 RC2 and I've tried everything to get mass upload working with no joy.  I've used the repair_settings script and the paths and URLs are all correct, I've also added the crossdomain.xml file to the root directory of my server and set the filesize limits to within those set by the server.  Still the usual error though...

The Flash upload module sent the following error.

Error type: uploadError
Error ID: file4

Error message: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]

I have a VPS so I've control over the entire server.

I'm starting to tear my hair out (and there's not much left!!) trying to fix this.  I never managed to get it working using the SMF Gallery with SMF v1.x either.

Then you just need to set $modSettings['aeva_max_width'] to 480 before calling parse_bbc(). You can set it in your index template's template_init() function, I think. Don't forget to global the $modSettings variable before, of course.

Hi guy's, I have a test only forum that I do all my work on before installing any mods on a live forum that I installed through the package manager  Media Gallery 2.0.5 and it works but only in the default core theme.  I am using the "Black Rain V2" theme with SMF 1.1.11 and I have noticed this with some other mods as well. Works only in default theme. What do I need to do? Any one want to help out a SMF newbie...MATT...

Most mods are like that. Custom themes need to be edited, manually.


On the mod's download page, you'll see a parser, top-right-ish, below "Download this mod". That'll give you precise details.

This may seem a bit convoluted. But, it worked with some of my custom themes.


Find the file "index.english.php" and find this line:

Immediately after that, add this line:

Then, in the index template, find this line:

Didn't work.
The only thing changed is that in staid of media it says aeva gallery in the navigation bar. In firefox it is still next to log out and in IE it's next to help.
