i dont think i have changed any file permissions !!

as far as i can see its still the original files that i installed originaly.

so theres been no changes on my side..

Then just download that file again from the mod site, and put it into your Sources folder. Should fix the problem.

is there a reason why when new album are made that Chmod is set to 755 and there for not able to upload photo's untill changed..??

or would this be a server setting that needs changing ?

0755 is the perfect chmod.
What you want to look into is the chown. If your folder owner is the process used when FTPing, and it's not the same as the PHP process, and you have some protection enabled, then it'll fail creating stuff in folders you uploaded via FTP.

the file in question is 20KB in size...

all the size settinging withing Aeva are much larger

the photo exists...

and i have managed to upload it now...

to rectifie the fault i had to change all the folders in \mgal_data to Chmod 777, then it uploaded no problems

set at 755 nothing uploads.

Using 0777 would fail on some systems too, I'm afraid.

You know I don't have to provide support here. I only do it on noisen. As for others -- probably too technical for them to bother? (Even for me it's a technical thingy. I devised the safe mode fix, but never really had a server to test it on.)

It's the official download link. It redirects to that album the same, but I like knowing that I can redirect it one day if I change the download area.

For some reason, it was working before, but now when i go to specific parts of aeva, like my albums, i get a 500 error, as the page is not there. Could this be because i formated pretty urls afterwards and then set it back to actions? right now its on actions and i still get errors.

That's probably a syntax error in your .htaccess file, so yeah I'd look into PrettyURLs.

Where are your manual install instructions located? When I use the normal "Parse" button like on every other mod on the SMF site it says "The mod you have requested has not been approved yet for downloads." I already downloaded the mod from your site and installed it, but I had a test fail on ManagePermissions.php and I am competent enough to edit it myself if I can find the manual install instructions. I looked on your site, but since it's not in English, I don't know where to look.

Can anyone confirm if ABC News is still supported by Aeva, btw? I just tried embedding a couple of videos and it didn't work. The URL wasn't found. I found out that older videos still embed fine, but not the new ones. I'm not sure it's valid to maintain support for these old vids when ABC News obviously doesn't want their vids to be embedded. I already removed support for BBC News for that reason this week. I'm trying to be in accordance with website policies, rather than attempt hacking embeds just because someone asked for that feature. It's just not right.
