i will, however..i just notice this lil thing. seems that when you are in "your album"  and try to click on any of those menu options(ie. add image, mass upload,download,etc)...the menu buttms move around, and you have to click each button twice to make that function. heres a couple images

If you just logged in... you're not a guest. I can show you a screenshot of it not working if you don't believe me.

I am not logged in on Internet Explorer. And it shows. Let me check my permissions.

Clickout

I can't embed youtube videos in my albums; shows just a link, but the thumbnails are fetched correctly. It is also possible to embed youtube videos in comments and posts.

what's wrong.. pl. help. i'm using smf2.0rc4

Assuming the videos embedded in posts are different from those in your Gallery...

When on the Youtube site check to see whether embedding has been disabled for the videos concerned, Clickout.

To verify embedding is enabled click onto Embed to see if the html code shows. If it does then the URL should work fine in Aeva.

If no luck let us know.
SMF v2.1.4  Mods : Snow & Garland v1.4, Simple Image Upload v2.0.0,  PHP  v.8.1

Clickout

There is no issue with the video. Actually i can't post the video in my gallery which works fine in my posts.

eg: http://www.ipool.tk/media/?sa=item;in=89

EDIT: The same issue is also for vimeo videos.

Arantor

I could be wrong but I think embedding videos like that as you want to do was only in the paid version of Aeva. I don't know if that's been withdrawn yet or not though.

ok i fixed permissions to the album, that was the only setting that blocks guests.

Arantor

OK, so I can see it.

The problem is that you're trying to serve a *very* large file (523MB) through Aeva, which means it has to be served via PHP, which means you're hitting PHP limits and likely Apache server limits too. And if you want it restricted in any way you can't even get round that because by PHP's physical nature the entire file has to be served through it - no streaming. So it has to download the entire media before releasing resources back to the user.

It's a design limitation of Apache on PHP and short of moving your website to something like nginx, you can't fix it. No amount of magic in PHP or Aeva can change it.

i've  embedded the same video earlier ( http://www.ipool.tk/media/?sa=item;in=45 ); now no embedding is possible.

Ok. So files from what size does it play without downloading all the data first?

Arantor

@Clickout: no idea, sorry. I'm only providing support here until Aeva is removed.

@NoFeaR / NFSMW: depends on your server's configuration and a bunch of other factors, in practice no larger than 10MB though, or else you move the files outside Aeva and outside PHP and stream them that way.
