I have installed last version (SMG) 1.5.2, and when I go to the link
../index.php?action=mgallery and ../index.php?action=admin;area=mgallery;sesc=xxx
I see Error:

Unable to load the 'MGallery' template

(It is more in the attached files)
I do not know what to do! Please Help!

Sorry for my bad English... (:

1. Are members not allowed to delete their own albums?

2. When I tried to delete an album from admin I received this error...
Quote
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/Subs-Package.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php')
in .../Sources/MGallery-Admin.php on line 607

Have you tried uninstalling and installing it again?

@KahneFan>
1. I don't think user albums can be deleted. This is one of the issues with user albums. But I'm doing my best to finally merge user albums & general albums in terms of functionality. They should only be separated conceptually (one is for everyone to post in, the other is for their owners), not technically.

2. Redownload from here, and reinstall. (Or update the only changed file.)
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Should "here" have been a link, or do you mean to DL the newest release? I'm currently using 1.5.2

The newest release was silently updated yesterday so you should redownload it from the SMF mod page.

It's a 1.1.7 forum. The first mod I installed was aeva mainly due to it's alphabetical listing on the mod site. It worked fine. I tested it and it worked. One of the last mods I installed was the smf media gallery. Which also works fine.
Well, it seems like you made a manual install of SMG... It doesn't appear in your packages list, and it is curiously installed (no indenting, etc.)
Also, Aeva was somehow screwed -- the Subs.php file doesn't contain its edits. You probably used a new copy of Subs.php to apply some more manual changes and forgot to use a copy that has Aeva in it.
Considering that your Subs.php only has two edits in it (both related to SMG), and you have dozens of mods installed, let me just say this: Aeva isn't the only mod that isn't going to work correctly! Most of them will fail. Subs.php is one of the most important files for mod authors.

Really, if you're going to do manual installs of a mod, you really want to have some prior knowledge on how to correctly handle multiple versions of a file... :-/
If you install a mod, you need to immediately download locally all of the modified files. If you don't, the mod will be broken as soon as you reupload one of the files it modified.
You're in for a complete reinstall. Which isn't a problem for you I guess, because it's only a test board...

Also, your server doesn't work well in my place. I tried to force uninstalling Aeva and it just stalls forever. What you want to do is uninstall Aeva (not manually!) and install the newest version instead. (5.1.32) It works, I did it.

Gosh, I was joking back when I said "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" at one point. It was just a reference to The IT Crowd.

So, I'll have to get used asking this... Have you tried uninstalling and installing it again?

O:)

Actually normaly I back up all related files.. I have a full duplicate of the modified files, however, i must have ******ed up with subs.php somewhere... however, i've noticed that the only mod not working right now is aeva.

Another thing i've found, is a lot of times i have to use the option in the packages section to make all files writeable before i can install/uninstall things and sometimes after a mod is installed for it to work right.

I never had to do that with my old clan forum I used to run.

I'll reinstall it, as far as the rest of the forum, once my friend has it all looking how he wants it, i'll be getting a domain for it and doing a fresh install etc..

Yeh thx for fixin the aeva :P

Fix for Aeva support!

Problem: you can embed URLs for websites supported by SMG just fine. You can also embed URLs only supported by Aeva, but they won't play when you actually go to the item page.
Solution: add $modSettings to the globals. (Yeah, it rings a bell, eh?)

Open MGallery-Embed.php

Search for the word "global". You should be around line 22 now. Replace the line with:

global $context, $sites, $sourcedir, $modSettings;

(It's just a matter of adding ", $modSettings" to the existing line.)

Fixed!

Suggestion to Dragooon: we should release v1.5.3 this weekend if you have some spare time..... ;)
(I like the idea that my first post as a "Simple Machines Hero" is a stupid bug fix, lol!)

Unable to load the 'MGallery.english-utf8' language file.

I haven't done anything to remedy the situation due to hopes of a quick answer on this forum :P

then you need to take a copy of the mgallery.english file and adjust the title to the error ;)

Forgive me if I sound really stupid. Adjust what title?... to the error...

Smoky "Rider" Blue

go look in you theme files, in the language folder:

find:

mgallery.english.php

make copy of said file.

name it to:

mgallery.english-utf-8.php

upload said new file to the theme you are using.

close ftp.

no more error from that issue

My host says php safe mode is not enabled. So I'm not sure what it is really.

The conversion script for SGP keeps exceeding maximum execution time and fails to complete.  Shame I was hoping to give this a whirl too.
