Link to Mod (http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=247)
With WoW Itemstats you can post World of Warcraft Items in SMF.
When you move the Mouse over the link it'll show you more
Informations about the Item.
--- UPDATE 04-01-2006 ---
Ok here is a new version of SMF WoW Itemstats.
Fixed some minor bugs and now it's compatible with SMF 1.0.5, SMF 1.1 RC1 and SMF 1.1 RC2
Before you install this version please uninstall any previous version of SMF WoW Itemstats !!!
If you try to uninstall and the Test failed by Settings.php don't worry
you still can uninstall but you must remove the WoW Itemstats section in Settings.php manually after uninstall..
German users can download now the german translation..
It's just the german translation !! You still need SMF WoW Itemstats...
--- UPDATE 04-01-2006 ---
--- UPDATE 30-12-2005 ---
Maybe you can access the Admin Options in "Posts and Topics" and "Forum Maintenance"
only with the default Theme or such Themes which use the default "Admin.template.php".
If you want to see these options in other Themes too you'll have to modify the "Admin.template.php" yourself..
The icon download link in the readme file doesn't contain all icon images
use http://www.darkcloud14.de/itemstats/icons-04-01-2006.tar
or the zipped version:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/itemstats/icons-04-01-2006.zip instead..
At www.darkcloud14.de you can talk about WoW Itemstats and Test it if you want...
--- UPDATE 30-12-2005 ---
Use [wowitem]My Item[/wowitem]
If you know the ID of the Item you can do the following
[wowitem]34234[/wowitem] //replace 34234 with the Item ID
In both cases the Itemstats will use the Default source/website to
get the needed Item Informations. The Default source/website can
be changed only by an administrator in 'Posts and Topics' . At the
moment you can switch between allakhazam and the german
website wow-handwerk.de
You can use [wowitem=0,find]My Name[/wowitem] to set a static
source. The second parameter will define the method which should
be used to get the Item in this case we will search the Item at
allakhazam.
[wowitem=1,id]34234[/wowitem] in this case we will use the ID
to get the Item but as you can see I've changed the source no.
You now get the Item Informations from the german website wow-handwerk.de
0=wow.allakhazam.com
1=wow-handwerk.de
Itemids can be used from Allakhazam or direct out of the game if you use Lootlink(Auctioneer/Enchantrix)
This is a port of Darcos Itemstats which you can find here:

I'm liking the way this mod looks, any chance for it being released for RC2 soon? :D
Is there any chance of having one written for SMF 1.0.5?
I'm plan to release a version which works with RC2 and 1.0.5 this week
Would be awesome for 1.0.5 :P :P :P

I'm getting an error when I install. It causes some difficulty with the php code and I didn't keep a copy of the error because I really don't want to mess with it again. I really like this mod, but would like to see a version that installs well under RC2. As of right now, the version available from the Package Manager tries to install the German version, and the downloadable causes errors for me in RC2. It won't even finish the install.
Here is the error...
Duplicate entry 'enableWoWItemstats' for key 1
File: /home/daveatho/public_html/Packages/temp/add_settings.php
Line: 9
This is a clean install of 1.1RC2 with no mods installed.
great work, but I have a small question. When I use this in a news topic it doesnt work on the front page of my site what do I need to modify to get it working with the ssi for the news?
@elutrothen: could it be that you've already tried to install the mod and got an error ??
If so you've to open your database and remove the entry 'enableWoWItemstats' manually and
a second one don't know the name now (I'm not at my PC at the Moment) but it contains something
with wow and should be under 'enableWoWItemstats' ....
@Digital-Wraith: hmm does it work in the normal forum posts ?? Never tried it with news topic..
You mean the News window by news topic don't you ?
when I use the ssi function new_boardNews() to show latest news on the front page of my site the mod does not work. It works everywhere else fine so I know its going to be something simple that I am missing to get it to work with my news board

Will try this and let you know. The first time I tried was under a clean install that didn't have wowitemstats in. Anyway, like I said, I'll let you know.
the second one is wowitemstats_defaultsource_list
I did an install of 1.1RC2 and then did a package install of itemstats, unforutnately it doesn't work I get these errors in my SMF log, also everything but the html for the description is filled into the db. I forgot to mention I run PHP5

There you can see it..
@Keiichi: Thx I'll change that...
@Ferrat: Did you install it with the package manager ?!? If so can you check if you've the following folders and files ?!?
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/index.php
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/index.html
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/itemstats.css
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/popup.tpl
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/popup-error.tpl
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/viewitem.tpl
- <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default/itemstats/overlib (27 files and 1 folder in it)
if these are missing, download the package from the mod page and extract the file somewhere
on your PC then upload the itemstats folder which you can find in the Themes folder to the following
location on your server: <yourforumfolder>/Themes/default
then try again if it works now...
Thx not its working Felheart robes however was/is missing som grafics cause that don't work but Ill look in to that, thx alot :)
@Ferrat: I've seen that it works now what have you done ??
I installled this package on Tuesday and my guild members went crazy. They love this capability.
However, it's not working now (I think since Thursday). Even though we use the correct syntax just [#####] shows up in threads now.
Any help to correct this? We're using Allah as the source.
Thank you much.
Gowdawg
After having lots of troubles with the package manager, i finally was able to install
WoW Itemstats and everything seems fine, but the only thing it shows is:
QuoteWoW-Handwerk was busy or this item does not exist. Click to search again.
(same for allakhazam)
In addition an error gets logged:
Quote8: Undefined index: id
File: [boarddir]/Sources/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php
Line: 259
what problems with package manager did you have ??
can you please download and extract the package on your PC
and check the files it contains in the Files folder with the ones on your server ?
you can find them in the same place as they're placed in the zip file
eg Files/Sources/... will be [boarddir]/Sources/
check if the files in the folder and those on your server have the same size and maybe
download them and check if these files contain the same content the programm windiff may help you
get it here: http://www.grigsoft.com/download-windiff.htm
if some files should be wrong or contain something else try to replace the files on your server with
those of the zip file... Maybe the package manager did something wrong duno...
Ok everybody who has still problems with Itemstats v1.21
please download Itemstats v1.22 and try again.
Don't forget to uninstall the old version.
You don't have to uninstall the german translation mod
cause this will still work with the new version.
Thanks for your Support, but itemstats is still not working for me.
Due to the failure of the Package manager i tried to install everything manually.
So i uploaded data, changed the db, and did the changes which were mentioned in the installer .xml .
For allakhazam its still the problem i described above, for wow-handwerk the popup even fails to show.
If i click on the posted item, it loads around 20 sek, finishing the page finally without changing anything.
You might pm me if you'd like to have an individual look on this.
This is officially the best mod ever, IMO.
Ok if you can't get the mod to work pls pm me and send me
if possible your AIM, MSN, ICQ or whatever else contact info..
Thanks
At the moment there is a known problem with some items if you
use WoW-Handwerk.de as source.. I'm already working on it..
Is there any chance we could get a new version of this uploaded with some fixes?
I had the FULLTEXT issue which is alleviated by modifying the SQL where it creates the table.
I also have the depracated function issue with PHP5.
Even after fixing those issues by hand and finally getting the mod to parse my wowitem tags, the itemstats code did not work. I even tried updating to the newer v1.2 off the EQDKP foums but to no avail.
Has anyone gotten this to work recently with MySQL/PHP5 and with Allakhazam as your source?

All I do is check or uncheck the box in Posts and Topics. Im running RC2. So when ever I enable Itemstats the boards move slow, none of the others. Im trying to figure out what the problem is, and it was suggested that I come in here and post. Also I cant seem to completly unistall it anywhere. I unistalled it through package manager, and what do else do I have to remove?
uhm normally you just have to remove the created itemstats table
everything else should be removed from the package manager...
Hmm I recommend you to post max 5 items in a post else it'll take too much
time until everything is saved in the database/table...
How many Items have you posted on a page ?!?
well on the board with 187 queries I had 5 post with itemstats in side em, and in each post maybe 7 or 8 different items.
How do the script work? does it pull the info from allakzam as it needs it? or does it pull it once from there and then store it on my local database?
Great Mod, thanks for creating it. Check out how it looks on our site. Link in sig.
@happycs: It pull the info from allakhazam once and then store it in the database.
But I've noticed now that everytime you enter a board (not a Post/Topic...) that contains
Posts/Topics with Itemstats items in it, my function get called for every item you've in the boards posts...
I don't know at the moment why that happens but I'll try to find out and fix it..
yes its not the post thats slow, its the board. anyways thanks for taking a look, my guild loves the mod, its great to show what we loot.
Is there a way to make the item text darker? The green is real bright. Not asking you to change your mod, just for a way I can do it myself.
Nevermind, im an idiot, its in the css file.
I've installed smf 1.1RC2 and itemstats v 1.23 everything installed correctly but every time i attempt to put in a wowitem i get a CGI error and it also causes that thread to become unreadable i also tested it by doing preview and it yields the same error. I have tried so many different things any help would be appreciated.
the error is:
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:
I also got this same errors when trying to post pictures & avatars in the threads. I have since fixed those issues by changing a setting in smf admin.
I think it could help me if you post what you've changed to get the other
problems to work... Maybe I've to add such an option to wow itemstats too...
Thx

I have the exact same issue - running version 1.23 on RC2

i use smf 1.0.6 and i cant install the mod..... :-[
is there a known issue with 1.0.6?
Haven't tested it with SMF 1.0.6 yet but the problem is SMF 1.0.6 is not listed in package-info.xml
you can try to edited package-inf.xml and change the lines:
<install for="1.0.5">
and
<uninstall for="1.0.5">
to
<install for="1.0.5, 1.0.6">
and
<uninstall for="1.0.5, 1.0.6">
after that zip everything again and try to install the package again...
nope....wont install the mod.
What happens ?? Which error do you get ?? I hope I can get an update out at the end of
this week then I'll add support for SMF 1.0.6 but I'm really busy at the moment so you may
do the changes manually.... open wowitemstats-install_1_0_5.xml here you can see what I'll change..
well, i use the german version but i get the error: Es sind keine Aktionen definiert! (no actions defined?)
i have no other mods and we restarted this forum in jan 2006 - i must be clean.
Here is a SS of where I hang up. This is from editing the version information.

@BaddAlaskan: ?!? I don't see your problem everything looks fine so far..
If you're try to get Itemstats to work with SMF 1.0.6 try to download it again
with package manager. I've just updated the package so it'll work with SMF1.0.6
If your problem is the FTP Information then I can just tell ya that its a problem that
should solve itself if you enter the needed data like FTP Server, Name, PW, Path ...
got it!! great work!! :D
thx!
Not sure, but I just downloaded the new pkg and I get to same screen. If I enter the ftp details, it just reloads the screen. I can't get past this spot.
Ok, I figured out the problem. had to do with the freaking path. SM puts a full path in that doesn't work by default. I have it trying to link items now, but the mouseover keeps telling me alakazam was busy or the item does not exist. I'll see if I can't figure that part out.
If you're using the name make sure you use the exactly the same name like wow.allakhazam.com
cause the search is case sensitive !! Else try to use the ID instead of the name..
Take a look. I've tried inserting the item ID and the name, case sensitive. Same result.

Ack,
I went into forum maintenance and clicked "Delete not found WoW Items" and it started working.

Hmm I'm sorry but I really can't help you here. It's what I told Digital-Wraith. He said that it solved his problem.
I really can't tell you what else he did... I think it's better to ask Digital so he can tell you what else you've to do.
And then you post here in the topic how you can get it to work ?!?
Or I ask him for you and make it public ... I never tried the SSI functions .... Sorry
I reinstalled wowitem stats and now my admin section is broken :/
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cleanupwowitems() (previously declared in /home/sinswowc/public_html/forum/Sources/Admin.php:924) in /home/sinswowc/public_html/forum/Sources/Admin.php on line 946
HELP!
what do i need to do to fix this?
Err you've uninstalled Itemstats before ?!?
However open Admin.php in <yourboard>/Sources and goto the
end of file there should be the function cleanupwowitems()
you should see it twice.. delete one of the functions...
Have you ever considered adding a WOWprofile option to this?
Something like the myspace/web field where you could put in your profileID from alakhazaam and it would do the little icon below your post/click to open in a new window thing?
The MOD is running great, althought I ran into some uberbroken stuff when I did the upgrade from 1.06 to 1.1RC2. There were some keys in the DB that had to be removed by hand for a re-installation to work. I'd reccomend to anyone doing the upgrade to uninstall first.
If you update to a new version or something I can only recommend always to uninstall Itemstats at the moment.
I'll add a installation check in the next version so you can upgrade from a previous version and hopefully don't have
to uninstall Itemstats anymore when an update is out.
Oh and I really don't know at the moment what you mean wit the myspace/web field at the moment ... I'll take a look at it..
You know how when you put your website address, YIM information, MSN Messenger info, etc ... into your profile it puts little mini-icons under your nick? I thought it would be cool if it would be possible to have a field to put your wow.alakazhaam.com profile ID in a box & accomplish the same thing - a mini-icon that when you clicks it opens up the profile in a new window.
Ahhh now I know what you're talking about. Maybe I'll
add something like that in a future release or so
demo anyone?
I have it running at Raven Flight (http://www.raven-flight.com/community/index.php?topic=560.0).
There's only one public post - the rest are in the private guild areas I think. But you can see what it does at least.
you can also test it on my site: www.darkcloud14.de
Hi
we are using SMF 1.1 RC 2 and Itemsats 1.23 with a shared Databse to our EQDKP System.
We have some problem when we 'add' a new item that isn't in the database - only items from the database can be used in our forum. Know anyone how i can fix it? Or is it a problem with the shared database? Because when i add an item via the eqdkp board i can use it too in the forum (like green crap items from WoW ^^).
I hope u can help me
pls take a look at this topic:
http://darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=16.0
have you happen to take a look at the mod quering the database on the boards instead of just the posts? I love the mod, but the board is to slow with that error.
Sorry happycs I tried to understand myself why they index/parse every message of the board you've entered.
I asked that question in the support forum but nobody could answer me that question.
That's one of the major points I'll get fixed somehow before I'll release a new version.
But until now I can't help you Sorry

DarkCloud14 (or any coders that are feeling helpful?) - could you check into this again? I tried sending Digital-Wraith a PM but have gotten no answer after almost a week.
I just installed this mod for SMF 1.0.6 and am happy to report that everything seems to be working OK, for the most part.
I've noticed that http://wow.allakhazam.com/ doesn't seem to let you search for types of random items, such as "Abyssal Mail Handguards of Striking" or "Engraved Helm of the Monkey" or anything "of the Type", whereas thottbot happily displays the information when you search for a specific subtype of an item.
I tried to modify the addon to get it to pull from Thottbot without much success. Is this a known issue with Allakhazam or should it be able to search for [wowitem]Engraved Helm of the Monkey[/wowitem] or other such items and have it work?
Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah....Best Mod Ever!! 8)
I've noticed recently that quite a few items are showing up as grey, i.e. not available on allahkzam. An example would be Truefaith Vestments which does exist on Allakhzam but still displays as grey text.
The items are spelled correctly and I'm using the newest version of itemstats.
Any ideas?
Had some problems setting up itemstats, but the biggest was the one where
MySQL would give an error along the lines of :
"The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes" and complained about line 27 in itemcache.php
I found (thanks to google :)) that if you insert in itemcache.php on line 27
FULLTEXT KEY `item_html` (`item_html`))TYPE = MyISAM", __FILE__, __LINE__);
it should work.
Fixed my error atleast... thought I'd let you guys know, in case someone else stumbles
across that annoying error.

OK that's because I'm using just the first item allakhazams search found and check if it's the same
the user entered. In that case allakhazams search found 2 items first one is the pattern and second
one is Truefaith Vestments. I'll fix that in the next version but at the moment I'm a bit busy...
@Punkkari: Thanks thats also a problem I'll fix in the next version. The problem is that your MySQL
is configured so that it'll create the database as InnoDB instead MyISAM db...
That error was already posted in my forum www.darkcloud14.de
Couple of problems that I noticed, and didn't see answered (but I skimmed, so don't hurt me if this is a repeat):
First, if you're getting the "duplicate entry, enableWowItemStats" or whatever error, it's most likely due to the fact that you had it installed before on the same DB, and now when it's trying to install, the DB is already there. Fix for this on the author's end would be to make it drop any db entries that it has to make before it creates them.
On the user's end, until that happens, you can delete the two itemstats entries in the smf_settings table of your DB. Should do the trick.
Also, I noticed that when I tried the .zip version, it hosed my admin page, because it added two identical sections to the end of my /sources/admin.php (though, this might have been due to the partial install, thanks to the existing Db entries.)
I tried a few times, after restoring the files, but to no avail. Sure, I really could just edit admin.php, but I wanted a clean install (and wanted SMF to actually show that it was installed), so I went back and re-uploaded the original files that this mod edits, then downloaded the .tar.gz, in case there was a difference. With fresh files, and no itemstats entries in my DB, I installed the tar.gz version of the mod via the packages interface. Install was a success on the first try. Worked like a charm, no errors, and I can still get into my admin control panel.
Sooo, I may have screwed things up along the way somewhere, but there could be a problem with the .zip version.
Hope this helped someone!
Any chance of you adding the option to use Thottbot as the source in addition to the two you have? The original package from which this is derrived had that functionality.
I see you still have the orignal thottbot.php file in your package, but unfortunatly it doesn't seem to work correctly when substituted in because of cahnges you made (i assume).
If I have time I might look into making it work, but it wont be soon.
Main reason I prefer Thottbot as the source is because Thottbot actually tracks all the "* of whatever" items while Allakazam only keeps the base item. That and it i seem to have alot of "grey" items that should be found but arn't for whatever reason.
I used this mod in its original form on my phpbb forum prior to switching to SMF and didn't have that issue at all using Thottbot.
@Calastir: Yeah I know that grey item bug..
That's because allakhazam found 2 items wich contain the entered item name but I only check the first one
of the found items against the entered name. But most time the first item is a plan or something like that so
thats my fault.
Another problem are the "* of whatever" items. These can't be found correctly over allakhazam at the moment
maybe I'll find a workaround for that...
But maybe I'll just add real support for thottbot
//edit: ok I've found an option in allakhazams advanced search
with which you can search for variants of an item then it'll display everything...
Well hopefully you decide to add back in the thottbot option as it is normally faster and more feature complete than Allakazam.
IF not, hopefully you do fix the 'grey item' issue as it makes your implimentation of this otherwise great mod useless for alot of things it would be great for.. unless all you use it for is to show your 'uber and unique' items.
I agree on the thottbot bit. I was thinking of just modifying the file myself to work with thottbot but didnt want to step on your toes :)
If you get it up and running please post and let us know :)
Hmm ok I'll try to get it working :D but not with the next release !
The next release will fix some bugs first !
I'll first try to fix the reported bugs before I add some new things...
Hope that's ok for you.
Sounds great to me. The only issue I have noticed with it so far is that occasionaly I am getting item not found/server busy errors. Primarily it happens when I try and use a name instead of a ID number (on allakhazam). If i read correctly you can put a name between the bbc tags (for instance Carrot On A Stick). However every time I have tried it has come up with the error and when you click on the link it will send you back to the main page of the forum.
Just in case it helps I am running 1.0.6
Darkcloud is my hero! I just wanted to say thank you here on the forums. Please keep up the great work and it was a pleasure to chat with you :)
one of the best mods I have ever seen :)

The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes
File: C:\apache\htdocs\Sources\itemstats\includes\itemcache.php
Line: 27
@ArkServer: You must set the table type of your itemcache table to MyISAM
use e.g. phpMyAdmin to do that.. Else read the above post of Punkkari...
Hope that'll help ya
Tried to register on your site Darkcloud but didn't receive my activation email to any email address i tried soo.. ;)
I tweaked the css for the tool tips some and wanted to share it with you.
Any progress on the allakhazam changes or thottbot inclusion?
Damnit changed my web.de password and forgot to update my forum settings xD Sorry
And yes allakhazam works so far with variants too..
At the moment I'm working on the configuration page so you can
configure everything of itemstats over the web interface..
I spend as much time as possible but as I said before (I think I did..) I'm busy..
Love this mod. I recently started having some problems though. See here (http://enlightened.psyscape.com/index.php?topic=2785). The error is that the popup.tpl was not found but it is there and I haven't made any changes on the server side recently. Any ideas?
It appears your paths are getting messed up somewhere.
Its looking for popup.tpl at:
/psyscape/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/popup.tpl
Your popup.tpl is located at
/Themes/default/itemstats/templates/popup.tpl
It looks like from the layout of your file structure that it is looking in the correct place but that you uploaded the file in the wrong spot.
I got around to putting my modifed CSS up in a post on your site, btw.
@Calastir: Thank you I'll take a look at it and if I like it I'll put it in the next version :)
@schillid: Uhm I'm not sure why this happens now for the other items you post cause the first one worked.
Did you change something ?!? If you don't get it to work you can PM me your MSN, AIM, ICQ or whatever
information and I'll try to help you over AIM or whatever..
Maybe you can get it to work again if you change the following at the end of allakhazam.php (<youboard>/Sources/itemstats/includes/):
$template_html = trim(itemstats_read_url($settings['default_theme_url'] . '/itemstats/templates/popup-error.tpl'));
to
$template_html = trim(itemstats_read_url($settings['default_theme_dir'] . '/itemstats/templates/popup-error.tpl'));
and above this one change:
$template_html = trim(itemstats_read_url($settings['default_theme_url'] . '/itemstats/templates/popup.tpl'));
to
$template_html = trim(itemstats_read_url($settings['default_theme_dir'] . '/itemstats/templates/popup.tpl'));
the only thing that has changed is 'default_theme_url' ...
M'kay, I just installed this tonight... And I'm getting an error on my site when you try to read a post with items linked:
Incorrect table name ''
File: /homepages/14/d158905886/htdocs/Joomla/SMF/Sources/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php
Line: 27
Hi can you check the table name in <youboardir>/Sources/itemstats/config.php ??
Is there a table name ?? If so does this table exists in your SMF database ?
Do you have the rights to create a new table ?? (ok normaly you should have the rights ..)
Can you check the error log of your SMF forum and tell me if there's another error ?!?
My Config file reads :
<?php
if (!defined('SMF'))
die('Hacking attempt...');
########## WoW Itemcache ###########
$wowicon_store_location = 'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/';
$wowicon_extension = '.png';
$wowitem_cache_table = $db_prefix . 'wowitem_cache';
// set this to 1 if you want to use a shared itemcache table
$wowshared_itemcache_table = '0';
?>
And no there is no wowitem_cache table on my SQL database... So I went and made an smf_wowitem_cache table on my database, and it still doesn't work. I used the parameters listed from the SMF/Sources/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php -- Does the name need to be smf_wowitem_cache_table?
Or should I omitt the smf part all together?
$wowitem_cache_table = $db_prefix . 'wowitem_cache';
This should be the name of your itemcache table... if you database prefix is smf_ then you already created
it with the correct name... hmm can you send me your ICQ, AIM, MSN or whatever else contact ?
Sent you my MSN, it's the only program I use..
Mkay, for anyone else who runs SMF through a Joomla bridge and comes across the problem I had...
You need to name the table jos_wowitem_cache and NOT smf_wowitem_cache.
I wish I had tried to do that a lot sooner then I did. I guess I needed to step back and take a break from the whole problem. 'Cause it wasn't until I went to the movies with my Family and came home that I had the thought to rename the table. :-[
Hi DarkCloud14:
I have a HUGE problem that's driving me crazy.
I am trying to get Itemstats operative on our site. It is not happening. >:(
I am entering just [wowitem]17070[/wowitem] nothing more, nothing less as a test and I am getting the following error:
The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes
File: C:\Program Files\Sambar\docs\nb\reck\forums\Sources\itemstats\includes\itemcache.php
Line: 27
This is the item I am trying to get:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=17070
Now, here's info on our system:
PHP ---------------------- 5
SMF ---------------------- Powered by SMF 1.1 RC2
mySQL ------------------- MySQL - 5.0.18-nt
Frustration --------------- 10 (to the limit) ;D
We looked at line 27 of said document and it says index.html - - felt lost, therefore decided to contact you instead.
Please help us ASAP.

should fix your problem
I'm sorry but it doesn't work completly for me. Indeed, I recover the color of item and a link towards Allakhazam but no popup displayed when mouse over the link.
I have added 2 lines in index.tempate.php :

but I could noticed that a link of item towards Allakhazam is deprived of return overlib. Thus, it's normal that a popup is not displayed.
How to make to cure it ?
Sorry for my english, i'm french ::)
thanks you
I find my problem. item_html field in item_cache table is empty. If I put toto in this field, it's working.
why the field is it empty ? >:(
thanks you for advance
I did your fix about the ENGINE=MyISAM" thing and I no longer get the error but even though the link works now, I dont see the item image or the little mouseover thing that is supposed to show the stats and stuff either. Additionally, all items links are appearing as same color which is blue with a red mouseover... is my site theme overriding this?
for me, item_html field is empty ::)
nanorus same here, I just checked since you mentioned it. my item_source is set to 0 on 2 items I've tried, and item_html is empty.
I will post a solution when I'm at home again..
Ok I hope it's the same problem someone else had..

you can remove these lines again from index.template.php ..
a function in Subs.php will add these two lines so it's theme independend...
thanks a lot for your answer. :)
I removed two lines in index.template.php
my problem is located in item_html and in item_source fields. item_html is empty and item_source is as value 0.
icon, name and color are well recovered ! :)
for information, I've losses of data in my mysql database, item_cache table :
QuoteSpace used:
Type Space
Datas 432 Octets
Index 2 048 Octets
Losses 216 Octets
Total 2 480 Octets
and an example of the result of wowitemstats :
Quoteitem_name Devout Crown
item_id 16693
item_source 0
item_method find
item_link http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=16693
item_color bluename
item_icon INV_Crown_01
item_html
item_found 1
thanks again ! :)
I understand has what corresponded item_source field
'0' = Allakhazam
'1' = blasc
and then of item_hml ????? ;D
Sorry for the late answer. Please take a look at the third post in this topic here:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=24.0
please try that and tell me if it worked..
Thanks
I don't understand what I'm supposed to do the 3rd post on that link is to another link on your forum which has someone replaceing code in allakhazam.php
I have never altered this file so when I tried searching the the exact string that was under
// Perform the search.
$data = itemstats_read_url('http://wow.allakhazam.com/dev/wow/item-search.pl?itemname=' . urlencode($name) . '&search=1');
Yet, it did not find it because when looking manually what I have under //Perform the search is significantly different then that I was supposed to find/replace.
This is what is in my file
$data = itemstats_read_url('http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=' . urlencode($name));
Is there perhaps a more up to date version of item stats that I can download? seems like the last release date is February 06, 2006
uhm no it's because he the poster has changed that line on his file...
the code he use will increase the search speed...
as far as I can see it's just that line he changed in his Find code
so the line you've posted is the right one ... Sorry didn't check that
I changed it to his method and I still cannot see item info when I mouse over the link, and fthe field item_html is still being left blank.
You replaced the three files I've posted in the topic ?!?
uhm can you pm me a link to a topic of your forum where you've tried itemstats
everybody with speed problems after installing itemstats please try the following:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=28.0
tell me if it worked...
Thanks
In your 3rd post, you talk about 3 files that you uploaded but there is no actual link to download those files. You then link to the other post about changing the code in the perform search and I didn't see any download links there either.
Uhm sorry Guest couldn't see the attachments. I've changed
that now so you don't have to register anymore. Please try it now
Okay, great that fixed it. Looks like you've figured out the problems. Will we be seeing an updated download soon with the 3 files and the itemcache fix?
I made my first Joomla website, and now I need to know how to install WoW Itemstats to my site.
http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=247
Is the link to the add-on, and I would love to know how to install it to the latest version of Joomla.
Well, the add on has nothing to do with joomla. Its strictly a simple machines forum add on. But if you use joomla that's fine too, it just doens't matter.
Go ahead and downlaod that file, then read back a few posts to when I started posting and that will help you fix the problems that you will get after installing it.
Well, the things is... I dont know HOW to install it. I never saw any tutorial.
Read the FAQ
http://www.simplemachines.org/support/faq/?action=display&faq=34
Well, I need some advanced help-- I've posted on the author's site too, just in case-- but here is the issue:
I've managed to install version 1.23 along with a few of the updated code bits, which corrected error messages and the like. I'm running on SMF 1.1 RC2 with TinyPortal 0.8.6 and MySQL 4.x
Basically, I can create a line that looks like:
[wowitem]Silk Cloth[/wowitem]
When I view the message, i see [Silk Cloth], however, it is grey. When I mouse over the link, there is no popup with the details or icon. I can, however, click on the link and get pushed to allakhazam for details on the Silk Cloth.
UPDATE: Originally, I could not get information to save in the mysql tables, however, now I AM getting an entry for Silk Cloth that includes the fact that it is a WHITE item (not grey). I still, however, get no popup.
I did notice that there were similar issues posted both here and on the author's site... However, they always ended up going PM or IM, so no answers were ever posted. :)
any help would be... greatly appreciated (I'm tired of fighting the installation of this mod, but desperately want it to work). :)
EDIT: I've since managed to get everything working, so I'm a happy camper. I would still love to see support for the "of the ..." items, as many of the items we link are ones like that.
Best Regards...
Daemonist
SMF 1.0.7 German
1. does anybody know what must be changed to get it work not from default theme-dir
because we are using another theme and i hate code-mixes with two themedirs ;)
2. found a small problem with german Umlauts
[wowitem=0,id]21684[wowitem]
=> [Mantle of the Desert's Fury]
[wowitem=1,id]21684[wowitem]
=> [Mantel des Wüstenzorns]
thansk for reply
hi ltdeta can you pm me your website and maybe your AIM, ICQ, MSN or whatever else contact ??
Normaly it should work with other themes too but maybe I missed something...
Thanks
-- EDIT --
I've tried the item you've posted above and for me
it shows the german name correct: Mantel des Wüstenzorns
as you can see here:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=3.msg83#msg83
Hmm I think I know whats wrong, maybe your DB can't hold the german
chars like ü,ä,ö .. I don't replace those chars with the correct html code at the moment
maybe that's the problem but it's just a maybe...
If someone has problems with SMF WoW Itemstats 1.24 and
Joomla/Mambo please take a look at the following Topic:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=38.0
Someone hacked through Wow ItemStats, location of the Hack was
http://www.wickedjoker.com/forum/Sources/itemstats/includes/redirect/session/update/sas/e-online-banking/signon.do&update=2/index.htm
It seems that this E-Online-Banking hacked into ItemStats and it collects data from users and sends them forward
Sadly, there is security hole in ItemStats.
Just wanted to inform
do you have any informations about how it happened ??
any logs or something like that which you could pm me?
I'll try some things I know about hacking php scripts but my knowledge
with hacking php scripts is really poor... If someone knows more about that
issue please tell me so I can fix it. I think some logs would help me too
Okay... Since I read this post, I started to test to see what damage I could do to my forums. The details provided in the post about the "Hack" were too vague, and the link doesn't actually work.
As I am unable to get the [wowitem][/wowitem] to do anything bad, I'm going to place this issue into my "hoax" folder...
If more details come up, then I will research more and assist Darkcloud14 with his troubleshooting process.
If you did get hacked... I suggest that you take a look at the security settings in your website, and your folder/file structure. Make sure you have not left a vulnerability somewhere else that might be giving hackers a way to "change" the official files.
cheers.
Well, i didnt discover this myself, my host discovered this and made a shutdown to my site. The link used to be the location of the Hack but naturally, host deleted the info and just gave that link to me so i could identify where the Hack was.
I think the Hack problem was that ItemStats folder had Write permissions set on what naturally was my own fault *grins*
Quote from: jepelton on May 19, 2006, 03:18:06 AM
I think the Hack problem was that ItemStats folder had Write permissions set on what naturally was my own fault *grins*
:) That is common, especially since most "how-to" instructions for setting up websites insist on having permissions set to full... At the end of the installation, they never usually tell you to reduce the permissions, so your site remains vulnerable.
Glad you caught it and corrected it before they did any major damage. Hurrah for backups and hosting companies that look out for us. :)
I'm getting an error when I install on 1.1RC2. I installed on another board using 1.1RC1 without problem.

Do you have any other Mods installed ?? Maybe another package has changed something the package
manager is looking for.. One thing you can try now is to uninstall every mod you've installed and try to
install itemstats again. If this works properly you can try to install the other mods again but I think another mod will file on Subs.php now... If you don't have any other mod install, you might try to replace the current Subs.php with the one of the smf-rc2 installation package.
If you want you can do the changes for Subs.php manually:
1. Just install the mod.
2. now unzip the Mod package.
3. open <yourboarddir>/Sources/Subs.php
4. open the wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc.xml file with any text editor and search for <file name="$sourcedir/Subs.php">.....</file>
Only do the changes inside the <file name="$sourcedir/Subs.php">.....</file> tags !!!
5. If you have located the tag, you will find one of the following tags below.
It will contain a block of code that must be located in the specified file:
<search position="after">...</search> search for some code to add stuff before...
<search position="before">...</search> search for some code to add stuff after...
<search position="replace">...</search> Search for some code to replace...
6. After the <search position> tag, you will find one of these:
<add>...</add> this is the code to add/replace ...
7. Remember if you uninstall itemstats again you've to undo these things manually..
Thanks for the response....However, I'm not sure I follow.
I found the code you mentioned in the wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc.xml file, but I'm not sure what you want me to do with it.
Are you saying that I need to paste the code into Subs.php? If so...where in the file do I paste the code?
You say <add>...</add> is the code to add/replace ..., but you don't say where to add or replace it.
*Edit
Nevermind...I figured out a workaround. It was because the change I had to make to my Subs.php file to get it to show in MKPortal. I just undid the change....ran the installer through the package manager, then re-applied the change to make the forum show in MKPortal...and it works fine!
hi
nice mod ,since im running eqdkp for my gild i was looking for itemsstats at the forum.
well i testet at xampp smf rc2 and no errors.
after installing at web forum and user wrote alot of [wowitem]xxx[/wowitem]
i found a little problem with the german
item names .
in german the "umlaute" ä ö ü ß arent saved right in sql dataabase .
corgan , german eqdkp support wrote in his blasc.php a little fix for that.
well i have nox skill in php and sql .here is some example i found .
if (!$item_xml_found)
{
#Corgan
//$name = str_replace("'", "", $name);
if (strpos($name, "Formel:") !== false)
{
preg_match('#Formel:(.+?)-\s*([[:alpha:]üäöß]*)#i', $name, $formelmatch);
$name = $formelmatch[2];
}
$name = str_replace("%2B", "+", urlencode($name));
$data = itemstats_read_url('http://blasc.planet-multiplayer.de/?f='.$name);
preg_match_all("#(i=[a-z0-9]*)(.*?)#", $data, $matches);
if (count($matches[0]) > 1)
{
for ($i=0;$i<count($matches[0]);$i++) {
if (strpos($matches[0][$i], ">".urldecode(urldecode($name))."<") !== false){
break;
}
could u look at ur code and maybe test the smf itemstats // blasc.de items with german "umlaute"
special item : Striker's Mark
in german :Schläger-Mal
the search blasc.de for the item is working but storing in database doesnt work right.
well i just importet alot of items in my database and dont get anymore errors. but if new items with Ä Ö Ü ß
getting into the game by blizz it will mess up my forum.
allrighty that my probblem and sry for my bad english.
ps some links can be found here:
http://forums.eqdkp.com/index.php?showtopic=5039
bye
uhm copkiller could it be that you've installed php 5 on your server ?
Someone else had a similiar problem with the german umlauts (ä, ü, ö)
You can try the following but before make a backup of the file!!!
Only try this if you've php 5 installed on your server !
Open <smfdir>/Sources/itemstats/includes/xmlhelper.php
find the following Code:
xml_parser_free($this->parser);
return $this->element_data;
and replace it with the following:
xml_parser_free($this->parser);
return utf8_decode($this->element_data);
as you can see I've just changed the return...
It's just a quick fix if you've php 5 installed !!! After these changes delete the items
with the wrong converted umlauts. Now it should work.
Remember to create a backup of the file !!
I have the latest version installed on smf and it was working fine. However, a reply post that I made errored. I forgot to get the exact error but it was something about a duplicate item in the cache... I wiped the entire cache table in hopes to clear the problem but now the thread is unreadable. When you try to read the post it just tries to load but it doesn't.
Although now that I remember the item in the error didn't have a closing itemtag... gonna try to restore the backup I made of the cache table.
Okay, that was it.. forgot to close the item tag on 3 items in a row.
I'm getting this error being logged in my Forum Error Log from the admin panel (although there is no shown error on the URL).

I do have a modded skin, however, I'm not quite sure what is causing these errors. While there doesn't seem to be a problem with it - wowitem is working properly, and there's no large error message but I'd rather not have it clogging up my error log. =/ The URLs in question are just posts/threads where the wowitem tag is being used.
i cant get this package to install correctly at all
i'm running mysql 5.0.18 and php 5 SMF-1.1rc2
i'm attempting it on a test box so its a completly clean install of smf
basically it uploads the package and then when i attempt to install it
the first page shows the tests ok so i hit the install button and i get a
blank page with the following url http://nwg.newwavegaming.net/index.php?action=packages;sa=install2;package=itemstats.zip
is it because of php5?
i have eqdkp1.3 itemstats running in a diffrent db on a diffrent virtual host on the box no problems
my live smforums are on a diffrent host with mysql 3 and php 4
but i'm afraid to attempt to install this mod on the live forums untill i see it run right on the test box
help pls
@impala68 uhm one stupid question but did you ever try to install another package on your test box and did it work??
php5 shouldn't matter I've tried it with php4 and php5, mysql4 and mysql5 and it works fine too.
Can you take a look into the forums error log maybe it logged something..
@lawless314: could it be that you or someone else used the [wowitem] tag wrong?
it looks at the moment to me that someone used it like that: [wowitem=find]some item[/wowitem]
as you can see there's just one parameter (find) but I assume always 2 or none parameter..
Something like that shouldn't work cause in Subs.php I do a check if there are are 2 or none parameter...
but looks like it doesn't work on your forum... Maybe it's something else but I really assume that you've somewhere
a wrong used [wowitem] tag...

the only other package istalled on the test box was the security update which went fine
after fighting with it for a bit i gave up thinking it was a php5 issue and attempted it on my live forums and it went in with out issue (go figure)
either way its working where i need it to work so all is good ty for the reply though
I have itemstats instaleed and working fine, but I have an issue with it not working on the front page of my site. Inside the forums it works perfect but the front page just treats it like text and does notice the bbc code. All other bbc works fine with the news.
Can you help me figure this out? I've read back and added the java script to the front page of my site but that didnt fix the issue either.
Thanks in advance
Do you use TinyPortal? Which Version of SMF do you use?
1.1 RC2 and all I am using is the ssi function to add the news board to the front page on my site.
I don't seem to be able to install this MOD for my SMF/TinyPortal board. When I try, the CPU on Apache goes to 100% and the SMF logs get filled with so many errors I'm scared to try it again.
Where can I find the manual installation steps to modify the code?
-------- SNIP -----------
OK I followed the processing instructions in the XML file and manually inserted all the pieces of code at the right place. However, I don't get any link displayed when I test it, just the text.
Do I need to manually create the itemstats database too?
I love this mod however I prefer thottbot over alakazam. I havent installed the original itemstats on my computer but from looking at the zip-file it seems to support thottbot. Is there a way we can get the smf version to support thottbott?
Does anybody know how to get [wowitem] tags to work in articles with TP?

Does anybody know how to get [wowitem] tags to work in articles with TP?
I am having a similar issue. I have this:
SMF 1.1 RC2
Tiny Portal 0.86
Theme: WoW-DK (for 1.1 RC2)
WoW-Itemstats 1.24
And when I add the [wowitem] code like [wowitem]Helm of Might[/wowitem] or [wowitem]16866[/wowitem]
all I get is what ever is in between the code tags repeated without a mouse over.
[wowitem]Helm of Might[/wowitem] would only show Helm of Might
[wowitem]16866[/wowitem] would only show 16866
Any thoughts?
It sounds to me like it didnt install properly. Read the files named package_info.xml, wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc.xml, and install_1_1_rc-eng.xml. Compare the changes to your actual files. If any thing is missing then edit it accordingly by hand.
@progged and danaki:
Can you try the things I've already explained to another one here:
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=47.msg212#msg212
No go.
Still same issue but I noticed that the files Garou mentioned did not update in the Themes directory I use. It only altered the default Theme. So I gues sI'll have to go back and manually edit the files for the Theme I use.
Yeah I should have mentioned that. LOL
I've had a request for a wowitem BBC button in the post reply screen. Meaning, they want a button that you can press that will insert [wowitem][/wowitem] in the message without having to type it. Has anyone implemented something like this yet?
@starrbuck:
dreadk created such a mod but it'll also be in the next version of smf itemstats.
http://www.therisenguild.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item2
That's the link where you can get dreadks mod. Ok at the moment there site is down but
maybe it'll be online again maybe sooner than the new smf itemstats version.
I'm on vacation at the moment and don't work very often on the new version..
Site is back up. Was getting TP to work with RC3 :)
So go ahead and download mod for BBC tag

Did you? Please tell how :) heheh
I hate that I found this mod AFTER I installed 1.1 RC3. Are there plans to update the mod? I would REALLY love to use it. I think my guild would kiss me if they saw it. :D
Well, something's off. I've had this mod installed and working for months, and then all of the sudden...
An Error Has Occurred!
2: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set
File: /home/casilla/public_html/forums/Sources/itemstats/includes/urlreader.php

This happens whenever a wowitem word is spelled incorrectly. In this case, they spelled Handguards of Transcendence as Handguards of Transcendance - and instead of giving the grey "Cannot Be Found" link, it gives that error. And the post has to be edited via the database, because no normal post buttons are available. =P
we had the same problem change in urlreader.php
from
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 1);
to
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 0);
for us the problem was fixed
maybe you can comment out this line
only for german users using this mod and blasc.php
blasc was bought from computec media and made a new gaming portal www.buffed.de
for this reason we have changed some code on blasc.php (some code used from EQDKP-Itemstats - blasc.php by corgan)
maybe darkcloud can use this for his next version

any news on when a rc3 version will be released or how to mod the code to get it towork again
I'll try to get a RC3 compatible version out this week.
While its a crude way of doing it, I modified the XML to allow RC3 to install it and its working just fine for me this way. Attached is the modified version.

w00t! Works great. Thanks. :)
It works fine when I put in an item number, but when I search by item name it just gives me a greyed out item saying "Allakhazam was busy or this item does not exist."
Is Allakhazam perhaps having issues right now? They don't list any. Otherwise it installed like a charm on RC3. Good show.
Some items did that to me, some didn't. Not sure what that's all about. :D
It went away. Weird.
probably has something to do with the connection between Allakhazam and your server
any luck on an official update? I'd like to upgrade to RC3 but this mod was giving issues so I uninstalled it for now. My users are clamoring for it's return! :)
Sorry wanted to release it last week but I run into some problems
which I want to fix first. Hopefully I can release it this week.
Just wondering if there is any word on what's going on with the mod? :) Become dependant enough that I don't want to upgrade until it is available.
I worked on a search engine like thing but didn't work so I
dropped work on it again for now... hopefully I can get a new version ready soon

Well, keep waiting until he has time to release it, then.
If you have RC3 and insist on using this, someone posted a hacked version for it to work until the release. May want to try that. It works perfectly for me. In fact I'm afraid of touching it should the release come out anyway. :D

You should be able to unzip the package and just do a find/replace on all the files. But test it first.
First - great mod and much easier to install than it was for my other forum (phpbb).
My question is, I am getting this error spammed in my forum's error log.
8: Undefined property: DEBUG
File: /mysiteinfogoeshere/itemstats/includes/sqlhelper.php
Line: 69
Line 69 is: if ( $this->DEBUG == 2 )
I have hundreds of these in my error log (it's my only error, so I'm hoping we can fix it!).
Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
@Giddeaon:
open sqlhelper.php and add the following line
var $DEBUG = 0;
after
var $db;
var $query_id = 0; // Query ID @var query_id
var $record = array(); // Record @var record
var $record_set = array(); // Record set @var record_set
var $query_count = 0; // Query count @var query_count
var $queries = array(); // Queries @var queries
That should fix the spam...
Thanks, Darkcloud - that fixed it!
Hello Darkcloud, I was wondering if you would mind if I released a slightly modified version of this mod publicly?
The primary difference it it uses the official overLIB (http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/) library, rather than overlibmws (http://www.macridesweb.com/oltest/) currently being used. I've also fixed a couple display issues I've noticed, and removed all icon support.
The reason I want to release this is that I have a WoW SMF mod that I would like to release, but it isn't compatible with your item links mod due to the different overLIB libraries.
I would of course give you credit for creating the mod.
Thanks. :)
hi yutt whats the difference between your version and my version?
Maybe we can work together or you tell me what you're missing..
I'm using overlibmws because it's more up to date.
The only thing you've to change to get official overLib working is the js script include..
Oh anyway a new version is out..

hi yutt whats the difference between your version and my version?
Honestly mine was mostly edited to suit my guild website. I mostly gutted anything related to icons, German and blasc.de. ;)
I wasn't aware overlibmws is the more current version. I think I will just switch my module to use that, so no public fork would be necessary. Thanks for the response. :)
One bug I've noticed is items with a right-justified span at the bottom render with the span outside of the tooltip. I'm not sure what is causing this, but it occurs in FF, IE and even Opera. I've played with the styling trying to find something that will resolve it, but haven't had any luck.

Hmm will take a look at it.
Love this mod! Flawless install on my RC3-board, and works great. :)
However, I have one wish:
Is it possible to add support for enchants, showing the required materials? Currently I'm using the name of the formula ("Formula: Enchant Bracer - Greater Stamina"), but it only shows what the enchant does.
Thanks for your work :)
Hello!
I don't think I'm being able to install this on the new "Final" Release 1.1
Will it be supported soon? :D
I had the old version of this plugin and an older version of SMF and decided to upgrade both today :)
I upgraded my current SMF version to:
Version Information:
Forum version: SMF 1.1
Current SMF version: SMF 1.1
And downloaded smf_itemstats_v_1_25_1.zip
When I try to upload the package, it uploads fine:
Package has been downloaded successfully
WoW-Itemstats 1.25.1 [ Apply Mod ] [ List Files ]
And when I try to click Apply mod, I get the following error:
Install Actions
Installations actions for "WoW-Itemstats 1.25.1":
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
I know I had this problem last time (a long while back when I last did it :) ) and I can't remember what I did to fix it. I checked the zip file and it isn't empty at all.
Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

That fix should be all that is required to make it compatible with 1.1. The other alternative is the following
Upload the file through package manager (do not install)
Upload the itemstats unzipped directory manually to the Packages directory (e.g it would look like SMF/Packages/itemstats)
Delete the .zip file in the Packages directory.
Install the add-on through package manager
I've tried both and they both work :)
Thanks, I'll see if I can get it running tonight. :)

I downloaded and installed this version with 1.1.1 forum version.
It broke my whole forum, i just get a blank page at the forum address.
Before I installed I backed up my SQL database, and put the forum into maintainence mode.
Restoring the SQL database hasn't restored the forum, im rolling back the files themselves atm hoping this will get my forum back working again.
Any help appreciated. I would recommend caution using this "modified" version though.
EDIT: Got the forum restored after the file-rollback thank goodness. No idea what went wrong though.
Guess ill have to wait on an official update to get this working again on my guilds forum.
Any word on an update as I have tried all of these suggestions to mod the /zip for 1.1 and nothing works. Everything installs except i get 4 failed tests during installation. Thanks!!

DO NOT USE THIS MOD. IT WILL CRASH YOUR FORUM.
No it won't. I have it on my forums.. well I've had it for the last two SMF releases and have never had problems. Something else is crashing it or another mod is probably conflicting with Itemstats causing the crash.

Thank you for the update. Keep up the good work
Seems to have installed no problems with the update for 1.1.1, im having a problem atm though whereby every single item i link using the [wowitem][/wowitem] tag won't show the item, im just getting Allakhazam is too busy or item doesn't exist message on all the linked items. I have checked spelling, etc... of the item names, nothing wrong there. Ive checked to see that in Posts & Topics its set to use: wow.allakhazam.com and that itemstats is enabled, no problems there. Im wondering if my web server is somehow blocking the response from the allakhazam server or something? Any ideas?

I have the same exact problem. It installed just fine on 1.1.1 and I also get the busy or item doesn't exist messages.
My error logs show tons of the same error:
8: Array to string conversion
File: /home/xxxxxx/public_html/Sources/itemstats/smf_itemstats.php
Line: 14
Hi philliephan,
on mordesta site it's something else and doesn't have something to do with itemstats.
Can you pm me the url to your site pls?
I've the same error in my logs but itemstats works fine for me.
Have to take a look at that so you don't get this annoying error message.
Ok, well I went to go and check on it again (after I saw your message) and since the items were hyperlinked in grey with the busy/not found message, I clicked on the links ... and voila! the items appeared individually after I clicked on each one.
So I decided to make another post with other grey links that I could show you... but now .. it's working! So I have no idea how physically clicking on each of the first grey links would fix all the future ones.. but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. It's working and that's what matters :)
Thanks for the prompt feedback though!
ps - if you still want to see for yourself... it's http://outlandlegion.com/index.php?topic=4.0
Maybe the first time you tried to add the items allakhazam was really busy
and now it isn't anymore but this is just a suggestion ;)
Good to know that it works now
DarkCloud14 thanks so much for making this work for SMF!
I have a request though, I'm using tinyportal with SMF as a frontpage for news and such. And I am trying to find a way to implement the itemstats into the news (article) section. Any ideas?
At the moment it isn't possible but I wrote a solution had a solution but I've just tested it
with version SMF Itemstats v1.24 and Tiny Portal v0.95 thought so I don't know if it still
works with the current version of Tiny Portal/SMF Itemstats. Sure you can try it but backup
the files before you try :)
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=47.msg212#msg212
I'll include something like this in the next version of SMF Itemstats so you don't have
to do these things yourself but the next version will take while cause I think I'll rewrite most
parts of the current code base....
Is anyone else having problems with the new burning crusade items? None of them are being found by name. If you use the item number, however, it works.
I also have the problem with item links not working (everything turns out grey). But they do work, if you give the item number instead of the name. Repeatedly clicking on the grey items doesn't help, unfortunately.
I have the same problem with the item links: they are all grey and the mouseover says that allakhazam is busy
it works fine if I take the item id
Released an updated version today (21.01.2007) try this version out it should fix the problem.
<sigh>
Getting
QuoteFatal error: Cannot redeclare cleanupwowitems() (previously declared in /home/path/to/community/Sources/Admin.php:1531) in /home/path/to/community/Sources/Admin.php on line 1552
when trying to access the admin page.
Serious this shouldn't happen anymore but anyway to fix it open
<yoursmfdir>/Sources/Admin.php and search the function cleanupwowitems()
it is declared twice so delete one of the functions and save the file.
Now it should work again
Latest version works very best for me now. Thanks DarkCloud. I prefer to install my mods manually and never had issues that way. :)
Hi Darkcloud. I recently installed smf and your itemstats plugin for it. Worked a treat. I was wondering if you had a guide to incorporate your version into Joomla or know how to do it?
Sorry at the moment I don't know or haven't any idea how to get it incorporate into Joomla
I planned to release a extra version for joomla but hadn't enough time to take a look at it.
Maybe for the next major release I also create a package for Joomla but it's just a maybe!
I'm getting the following error on my forums:
8: Undefined index: lngfile
File: /home/thehound/public_html/Sources/itemstats/smf_itemstats.php
Line: 119
Any idea of how I can correct that?
Hello.
I am trying to install this mod on my newly installed copy of SMF 1.1.1. There are no error messages, and the installation procedure claims that it works fine. I go to use the [wowitem] link, and it doesnt work. I go uninstall the mod, and i get a bunch of error messages. I've also checked the database, and the cache table is never created. Any ideas for this SMF noob?
@CrystalTears: will take a look at it and fix it with the next bugfix version..
@aasukisuki: Can you PM me some more informations like which MySQL/PHP version do you use
and maybe the url of your forum to check the problem myself.
Another thing to mention: If you use a Adblocker like Adblock, Adblock PLUS it could happen
that the tooltips won't popup if possible disable it for your site.
I use this mod on my SMF board, with a Joomla bridge. Is there a way I can get the BBCodes for WoW Items to work in Joomla... so I can make news posts with the bbcode and display the items like I would in the forums?
I had asked in the integration section and Orstio posted a mod to get the bbcodes to work... but Wow Item codes don't.

Hi Shadow Wolf as I posted a view posts above I've planned to release a version for Joomla but never
had enough time to really sit down and take a look at it.
You can checkout the following post on my forum but I think it's for an old version of the other itemstats
and so I don't know if it still works with the current version of the other itemstats. And if it works you maybe don't have to make the change I mentioned in another post of that topic.
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=40.0
This modification doesn't use SMF Itemstats!
Hey Darkcloud,
I've been messing with my forums trying to get this installed, and now I'm getting this error:
Fatal error: packageinstall() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/aasukisu/public_html/Packages/temp/./add_settings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/aasukisu/public_html/Sources/Packages.php on line 549
Any ideas on how to fix this?
hmm someone else posted the same error but I just can guess that your server
doesn't like the ./ in front of the path. I'll try to bring a new version out today (Tuesday)
Maybe without the ./ it'll work. If you can wait you can test that version..
I installed this lastnight smf 1.1.1 tp 0.9.7.1 and im not having any erorrs...
I just got the same error as crystaltears... but the IP that triggerred it was from a spider...

Ok fixed that with version 1.25.4 and fixed some other bugs
you should upgrade to the latest version ;)
If you've a problem post here or pm me.. :)
By upgrading wont I have to undo / redo the changes made to my custom theme ? if so I dont look forward to that ;-/

If you already have itemstats 1.25.3 installed this shouldn't be a problem cause
I only replace files in <yourboardir>/Sources/itemstats and don't change files
of the theme. So if you didn't change files in <yourboardir>/Sources/itemstats it
shouldn't be a problem and you don't have to redo the changes on your custom theme.
Installed it yesterday and I haven't seen any errors yet. Thanks. :)
I removed my SMF install completely and installed a fresh copy hoping this would fix the problem. I'm still getting this error when attempting to install it from the packages menu:
Fatal error: packageinstall() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/aasukisu/public_html/Packages/temp/./add_settings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/aasukisu/public_html/Sources/Packages.php on line 552
You mentioned earlier that it's possible my server doesn't like the '.' that is between the temp/./add_settings.php. What file would I find this in to edit it out?
i tried to install and get:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
help :(

Well, I added a /temp folder to the packages folder, and it seemed to work this issue out. Now i'm having an issue with all mods that I try to install. They all act like they install without any errors, but nothing actually installs. Files copy to the temp directory, but never actually make it into the forums. I'll keep looking :/

sea if you try to install smf itemstats 1.25.4 on smf 1.1.2 it won't work,
try the new smf itemstats v1.25.5 it's compatible with smf 1.1.2 else
you may try to download the package to your computer first and then upload it agian.
Maybe that works..

i do have 1.1.2 i will try it thanks.
Any plans to get this to use wowhead.com instead of allakhazam (very slow, often doesn't work)?
I too would like to see it use or at least have the option to use either wowhead or alla. wowhead is 10 times faster and also uses item numbers IE, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28794
Got my vote 8)
As I'm working on a complete new version I think I could add support for it.
But it will take a while for this version to come out cause I rewrite almost everything of smf itemstats...
I have this problem...
La table 'website.smf_wowitem_cache' n'existe pas
File: f:\web\easyphp1-8\www\website.net\forum\Sources\itemstats\includes\itemcache.php
Line: 45
Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.2, while your database is at version 1.1.1. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.
Can't do anything... all my pages display this message !
I have SMF 1.1.2 and just installed this addon... 1.25.5...
If you don't know how to help me, then please just tell me how to erase all these files...
@danny94: Sorry that it doesn't work properly for you and you get this error now but
without taking a closer look at it I'm not sure why this happens. Normally the
table should be created if it doesn't exist but somehow this didn't happen in your case.
If you can still access the admin menu try to uninstall it with the package manager.
Else you've to do a manual uninstall. The easiest could be just to upload the original files to your server
again in case you haven't installed other mods.
Let's assume you haven't installed or modified the forum files yet you must upload the following files again
(Themes shouldn't be a problem):
<smfroot>/index.php
<smfroot>/SSI.php
<smfroot>/Sources/Admin.php
<smfroot>/Sources/ManagePosts.php
<smfroot>/Sources/Subs.php
<smfroot>/Themes/default/Admin.template.php
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Admin.english.php
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Help.english.php
if you also have german language installed you've to replace the following files too:
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Admin.german.php
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Help.german.php
and maybe the UTF8 versions:
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Admin.german-utf8.php
<smfroot>/Themes/default/languages/Help.german-utf8.php
If you can't replace the above files with the original ones please pm me
or post here again and I try to post a guide how to manually remove the
changes package manager did.
Ok now remove the rest of itemstats:
<smfroot>/Sources/UpdateWoWItem.php
<smfroot>/Sources/itemstats (complete directory..)
and
<smfroot>/Themes/default/itemstats (complete directory..)
If it worked for you and you want to get itemstats working on your forum I could help you.
Therefor I need an account with which I can check the error log of your forum and maybe
that's everything for now but maybe I'll have to pm you again and ask for a bit more access..
Thanks a lot, the removing manipulation works fine manually (I hasn't access to any pages of the forum).
Maybe the problem was here because I'm working on EasyPHP... I'll try on a real server and let you know of any issues and grant you access If needed.
Thanks again for the support, keep it going !
Hi,
Just to point out that you will need to manually create one folder images in your forum root dir. That folder will need to contain 3 missing files:
yellowsocket.png
bluesocket.png
redsocket.png
I have attached the missing files to the post.
Cheers.
oO why do you need these files??
@DarkCloud14
If you mouse over a new TBC item(s) that have sockets, you will find that they have only text - "yellow socket", "blue socket" and "red socket", but no images for them. Then if you check your site 404, in let say Awstats, you will notice the high amount of 404 errors connected to the above .png images.
The HTML code that is generated for the tooltips, expects that the 3 socket images are loaded from:
/images/yellowsocket.png
/images/bluesocket.png
/images/redsocket.png
Cheers
Oh ok that's the problem xD Sorry never tried an item with sockets
so I'll fix it in the next minor upgrade. Thanks CyberOto
Ok slightly off topic but I want to be able to see what your talking about with this whole socket thing and I'm current lvl 56 so I cant hit the new lands til 58 to see any of the new items... can you please type the exact name of one of the new TBC items so I can see what your talking about with this whole socket thing... Thx.
Edit : Also I'm getting some sort of error when trying to even DL the three "socket" files...
Here is an example of an item with sockets.

Thx CT... now I see where the errors would come in without those... I just hope the links for the three files can be fixed or something so I can DL them... unless I just right click the small "display" images and save em that way... on a side note this question goes out to the mod author... did you change any theme files from 1.25.4 to 1.25.5... im asking so I know wether or not I can uninstall and reinstall without the need to change any custom code to make this work on my custom theme... also if its not to much to ask... to save me and others the trouble of bothering you with such questions could you maybe add to the change note on the mod page when you make then saying if any theme files were changed... Thx. Either way grrreat mod.
Now there's a good argument for changing to wowhead ;)
MoreBloodWine: Yes I changed a little thing and I also wrote that in the change note but didn't
highlight it as a Theme change sorry. But you don't have to worry about it cause I only renamed
blasc.de to buffed.de in the dropdown box in "Posts and Topics" options...
DooM: Yup I'll add support for it in the next major version.
Thank you DC :)
Ok so I guess that thats a yes I dont need to worry about any theme file changes which means Id have to reo hand codes which is good to hear that I dont so I can just do a uninstall / re-install... but what I was referrring to about mentioning wether or not updates contain theme changes or not was just adding a simple line so...
This-- UPDATE 13.02.2007 ver. 1.25.5 --
- added support for SMF 1.1.2
- fixed critical bug which emptied item html (buffed.de only)
- renamed blasc.de to buffed.de in Admin options
- fixed redirection bug in UpdateWoWItem.php which created an

Has this mod ever affected the theme?
No never affected ... I mean the first time I tried using it I had issues but that was only because I didnt understand the before / after statements in the xml files... which I now understand alot... I dont want to seem like Im begging him to do something petty i was just sayin maybe he should or something just to save him the hassle of bothering with people like me who continously ask if every update contains theme changes or not... which he is probably getting bored of and I wouldnt blame him if he is... but this mods been nothing but excellent with me... hell I cant imagine my forum without it LMAO...
Edit : Hey CT quick question for ya since you seem to be online and hopefully reading this... do you have the socket thing showing on your forum ok because no matter what I do adding the thre images to folders without folders to just about any location I can think of there not showing up on the image... I used the item battlescar boots you linked to to test it on my test forum... anyway if you have it showing ok can you tell me how exactly you have them set so maybe I can try the same thing to see if it works for me to, Thx.
Any why we can have some Icons to like in the old Itemstats? Like [itemico]XXX of ZZZ[/itemico]
well first post so mine as well make it good.... here i go
This mod is simply the best thank you for making it and supporting it. Unfortunately Since the upgrade to 1.1.2 and WOW item stat version 1.25.5 I get gray name items of death. Any thought on this would be great.
Side note I cannot get the socket items thing to work too.
Again thank you for taking the time to look into this. :D

Hi. I'm using SMF forum for my WoW guild and have a bit of trouble with integrating this Itemstats package into it. When I use upload and install in SMF admin section it reports no errors, but there is no change at all (no files are uploaded). I manually uploaded files in ./Sources/itemstats and ./Themes/default/Itemstats. But the problem is that root index files also weren't changed so SMF doesn't recognize Itemstats code at all.
So can you give me instruction how to manually configure itemstats to work and which files need to be changed ... or give me exact instructions how to successfully install the package through admin section.
thx.
Edit: oh, I am using SMF 1.1.2. and have already used Itemstats with Joomla, phpBB and EQDKP, so I have quite good knowledge on how to set it up.
SMF 1.1.2 - TP 0.9.7 - ItemStat Mod ver. 1.25.5
I still cant get the socket thing to show on my site by adding the images and I've tried quite a few things... can anyone whos successfully got the socket thing showing on their forum please post "noobish" step by step instructions for me , Thx...

please PM me cause I don't know what it could be with so less informations..
MoreBloodWine: I will release a version today which fixes it..
Valinor:
You can do the manual changes by opening the following files (which are in the smf itemstats zip file)
and follow the instructions there:
wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc.xml, wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc-en.xml and if you also have the german
language files installed wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc2-rc3-de.xml
If you need more informations about what happens in there and the structure of the xml file and how it
works, please go to the following thread: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=20319.msg163261#msg163261
download the attached zip file and check out the readme.html in the modifications directory.
One question does the same thing happen with other mods or does it work for them?
I was asking for more clarification as what you wrote literally doesnt help much... but seems I wont need it anymore after the new version is released... so Ill just wait for that...
Edit : Hey DarkCloud... just wana get you ahead of tiem and find out if this new major update for TBC items etc... will involve any theme changes or will be be like the last " uninstall - reinstall with no issues "

Ok it's out now :)
This new version doesn't like me. I'm getting this when trying to access the admin section.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cleanupwowitems() (previously declared in /home/thehound/public_html/Sources/Admin.php:1531) in /home/thehound/public_html/Sources/Admin.php on line 1552
There has to be double code somewhere thats all I can gather from the previously declared line... all I can think of would be to goto the file and around that line look for the exact same text and just delete one of the doubles... that should fix it... I'm gonna try this out myself... **goes to dl the new mdo**

Glad I could help... mods workin great for me I just used the upgrade method since all it did was delete two files and then replace em... question though how do you switch what database it uses "I forget" allakhazam seems to miss some of the stats unlike wowhead...
Allakhazam : http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=28747
Wowhead : http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28747
The second equip lines not there but if you look at that item on wowhead its there... they seem to be more into this then ala is...
You can't change the databases yet. Darkcloud said he was going to work on it for the next big release. I really hope he can. That would kick ass. :D
I thought this was the "big release" lol... but from what Ive seen wowhead seems to be the best... but a user selectable database owuld be better imo just bec some people dont agree with "whats better" hehe...
Edit : This is a bit off topic so I apologize... but I'm making a sm list of items rather examples on my site that pertain to this mod... could someone please post the names of one green and one blue item that use the new "socket" system... I dount there are any yet but an orange one to which I believe are uber rare or some crap lol... I was told they do exist in the "lower colors" and by that I mean compared to the battlescar boots what are purple... Thx.

Uhm I know you've fixed it already but what have ya done to get this error?
Uninstalled the old version and installed the new one or used the upgrade method?
Oh and which version of smf wow itemstats did ya use before and which SMF version do you use?
Just want to know so I hopefully can do something against this problem in the future..
Yeah I'm not counting on it being something you did. It was probably all me.
I hadn't gotten around to upgrading anything until today (smf 1.1.2). I was still on 1.25.4 for wowitems. I did the upgrade, didn't uninstall anything, received error for subs.php but went ahead anyway. I know. I r retard. So of course I started to receive errors. So I went around and uninstalled wowitem then reinstalled it, so it looks like it just added that section in again.
Yep the problem is if the package manager shows Failed for e.g. Subs.php
it means that something couldn't get uninstalled. If you then still proceed
and reinstall itemstats or any other mod again it could happen that a function
is declared twice cause it wasn't removed on uninstall.
Ok then it's more or less ok so far. I first thought it happened because I missed
something in one of the upgrade functions..
Nope, you're golden. Don't worry about this chick who was having a seriously senior blonde moment. :D
cant install this package
Installing this package will perform the following actions:
Type Action Description
1. Execute Code add_settings.php

You can still install itemstats but in admin panel you won't see the german translation.
Looks like SMF changed the german language files again.

This was working ok but now all I get is grey items with a msg saying the site is busy? :(

If you mouseover a link it says "Buffed was busy...." Goto Admin->Posts and Topics

on the greyed links so they'll update.

Hello Everyone.
i am having a problem with the integeration of this into my site. I currently use Joomla for the main page and have SMF wrapped and bridged into joomla.
The package works wonderfully to install into smf, but when I try to load up my joomla main page I get this error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class itemcache in /home/guildaur/public_html/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php on line 8
Please Help, I really would love to have this up and running on my page. Currently I have itemstats uninstalled from SMF, but it is currently working through Joomla.
Site : www.guildaurora.com
SMF: 1.1.1
Joomla: Current (newest release don't remember exact number)

A similar thing happened to me. Check the itemcache.php file and see if you find two instances with the same information for itemcache. Remove one and it should do the trick.
We've just setup a new board with SMF 1.1.2 and installed ItemStats. ItemStats works fine if and only if there is one item linked a message. If you attempt to link a second item in a message the message will not post. Any clue what's up with that?
Actually with a little more testing we've narrowed it down further. It seems to only be a problem when you post a modification to a thread with more than one link. You can make an original post with multiple links, but if you try to modify that post or add additional links to that post the post won't save. As a work-around you can copy the data in the post, delete the text (except a placeholder), re-modify the post, past the data and add links. Very weird.
..Rob
Thats the thing, there are 2 instances. One for the Joomla and one for the SMF. I looked into the code of the Cache, nothing was in duplicate. So I think I am up a creek without a paddle.
Another Problem..
If I use [wowitem=1,find]Itemname[/wowitem]
and after that in the same post i use
[wowitem=0,find]Itemname[/wowitem]
or [wowitem]Itemname[/wowitem]
ItemStats will still search @ alkazham. Same if I use any other options for the wowitem-tag. A Click on the grey link in the post doens't update the link. This Problem remains ONLY in this post where I wrote wowitem=1, find first.
You can have a look at it at http://oor-gil.de/index.php?topic=512.0 User Schnorrer descripes the Problem (Post 6-8)(German)
Hi djsid,
I've tried it on my forum (http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php) and did the same thing Schnorrer
told ya but I couldn't reproduce that error.
Another thing if you post the tags in this order:
1) [wowitem=1,find]Itemname[/wowitem]
2) [wowitem=0,find]Itemname[/wowitem]
3) [wowitem]Itemname[/wowitem]
and click the third link to update the tag it will use allakhazam that's true
but it's doing that because it just uses the last source which is saved in database
and in this case the last source for this item is allakhazam.
So to update the item click on the first link cause here it'll get the information for
the source from the link and that worked fine for me..
Hey DC... ne news on this "major" update were al lwaiting for wit hthe new and extremely wanted database ;-P
When it's done :P

Hi,
Just to point out that you will need to manually create one folder images in your forum root dir. That folder will need to contain 3 missing files:
yellowsocket.png
bluesocket.png
redsocket.png
I have attached the missing files to the post.
Cheers.
You also might want to add the pic of the metasocket gem. And ps: the files go into a directory /images of the
root of your server, not the root of the SMF install.
Darkcloud updated the mod to include the missing socket information so as not to need manual changing.

@starrbuck:
dreadk created such a mod but it'll also be in the next version of smf itemstats.
http://www.therisenguild.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item2
That's the link where you can get dreadks mod. Ok at the moment there site is down but
maybe it'll be online again maybe sooner than the new smf itemstats version.
I'm on vacation at the moment and don't work very often on the new version..
The above mod is not configured for SMF 1.1.2, however it DOES work if you simply change the following lines within the package-info.xml:
<install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1">
to
<install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2">
Make this edit, rezip the package, and it installs fine, works as intended (on the default theme).
EDIT - BTW, thanks a lot for the ItemStats mod, it is awesome! :D
Hi... I just installed this version after uninstalling the version from the "free.fr" site... I had a couple of questions.
The old version had images that it would apply to the formatting bar that would allow the item... Does this version not do that? Perhaps I need to customize my Theme.
Also, I saw someone else ask this but saw no reply... Is there no available [itemico] tag in this version?
Anyone's help is greatly appreciated.
SWW sorry at the moment the current version doesn't have a [itemico] tag already
working on a new version but at the moment I don't have much time so this version
will take much longer then I first thought :( But it'll have something like this and you'll
be able to configure everything over the admin panel and some other things...
Cool. I'm just glad to have ItemStats back, one way or the other! Thanks for working on this, my friends and I greatly appreciate it!
I'm running SMF 1.1.2 and it works just fine... with one exception.
When loading/viewing an item for the first time, it causes and error in IE and goes to a 404 error. After refreshing the page and trying again it works just fine.
I just tried to recreate the error and this time I couldn't (go figure). Anyone else have this experience??

I orginally thought this was like "a first time load" type deal, however yesterday while adding items, I received that IE error several times for the same item.
Again, refreshing the page "fixes" it, however its extremly annoying when trying to preview a post, you get the error, then you have to refresh and retype your post. Here is a screen shot of the error:
http://dracon32.net/defcon/itmestats%20IE%20error.JPG
Any ideas??
Hmm sorry don't know what it could be. Maybe it's because allakhazam is slow at that moment or you've added to much new
items which aren't already stored in your database. Then maybe such a thing could happen cause the operation timesout?!?
Just a guess, I'm really not sure what it could be.
Hey Im just wondering if the "major" update is still being developed? And will it work with Joomla? :)
Sure still working on it but not really often at the moment cause I don't have much time atm so
I'll release it when it's done... And no this is not a Duke Forever when it's done :P
I would donate $20 to have Wowhead coded into this ;)

I have this exact same problem. Any way to fix it?
I'm using Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable and SMF 1.1.2 with WoW-Itemstats 1.25.6.
ItemStats works beautifully in SMF, but when I installed on Joomla!, I get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class itemcache in <itemstats dir>/includes/itemcache.php on line 8
How did you go about installing into Joomla? Did you install it separately or did you reuse any of the smf item stats?
I installed it as per the instructions on this page (http://itemstats.free.fr/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.23). Anyway now I took out the SMF itemstats and only installed it on Joomla!
Got a wowhead parser working nicely on my Joomla and eqdkp sites thanks to a mod that's been made available in the last couple of days. Would be nice to see the code incorporated into SMF Itemstats, not sure where to start with SMF's package installer process myself.
More info on the wowhead mod for Itemstats here (http://forums.eqdkp.com/index.php?showtopic=9342).
Alright, I can't seem to get it to work. When trying to use the .tar or .zip file, SMF will highlight the .xml files (like wowitemstats-install_1_0_5.xml) and say the addon is not compatible with the current version of SMF. If I choose to proceed anyway, I get a blank screen. What gives?
Which version of SMF do you use??
just a short note... i installed SMF to 1.1.2 today... and when i went to package manager there was a security update to 1.1.3...
itemstats only works with 1.1.2... if you update it to 1.1.3 it says the file is not compatible...
so i had to uninstall 1.1.3 to make itemstats work...
i updated to 1.1.3 yesterday through the package manager... all of my mods seem to be working fine (including itemstats), however, after upgrading to 1.1.3, i no longer have the option to uninstall any of the existing mods.
did you upgrade before installing itemstats? or did you upgrade with itemstats installed?
upgraded after itemstats was installed.
EDIT: to install itemstats directly onto 1.1.3, you will need to edit the package-info.xml to add "1.1.3" to the list of supported SMF versions for the installer.
Hello, and thanks for this great mod, simplify my life alot. Ive installed smf1.1.2 then your mod with default them, then reverted to my original theme without any problem, its working great.
Im sorry if this sound dumb but i gotta ask, is there an easy code change or config change i can do to disable the icons it shows on mouse over all together? I just want the item name and stats without the item graphic if it makes sense hehe.
Thanks again for this mod, two thumbs up.
While i like the graphics myself i think that would make a good addition to the mod. By that i mean an option to turn the graphic on or off. edit ... Hey DC just curious but when will we be able to get that version where we can select the database it uses.
Hi Abeille, at the moment you can't change something in the config file to show/hide the icon.
But since there's a new version of SMF out I've to update my mod anyway and I can add something like that if you want.
@MoreBloodWine: The problem I've is that I need to change the database or better itemstats table layout.
At the moment e.g. the item name is primary key so you won't be able to have more than
one item with e.g. the name "Stone" in your database even if there is another item called
stone but has different stats...
I've started a poll in my forums so here's the link please tell me what to do..
http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=107.0
Hey,
Has anyone come up with a definative solution to the "itemcache" issue that occurs when you have a SMF bridged with Joomla? I've tried several solution listed here, including renaming the table, applying the SSI changes from the author's website, and checking for duplicate data/files. Currently I see none and I'd love to have this functionality for my website.
Any and all help is appreciated, this really is a great mod, if only I can get it to work without messing up my homepage :P
Hello DC, I keep getting errors now..don't know what happened.
I am using SMF 1.12 with latest Itemstats at FreeBSD based server running "Apache/2.2.4 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1 DAV/2 PHP/5.2.1 with Suhosin-Patch Server".
I keep getting the following errors (from smf error log):
2: file_get_contents(http://www.buffed.de/?f=Steelhawk+Crossbow) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed!

Soo..what should I do with it? I have no clue how to fix it as I am not 'coder' at all..
As you can see from error message, I tried both sites for getting item data but it didn't work. :(
Hoping to get fast reply for this..thanks (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/Themes/smsite/images/post/thumbup.gif)

I'm pretty sure this has to do with your PHP configuration on the server. You should be able to fix it by adding the following line to your PHP.INI configuration file.
allow_url_fopen = On

for poll youve put up id vote no cause one the strenght of this mod imho is about his compatibility with edqk and such, it gonna limit the audience your having even tho it a code improvement.
Could you also add the thing not to write wowitem tags..do it instead with "item" tags..
How do I add a button to message writing page to make item tags ready for users just by pressing a button?
I saw this in some very old previous one but it disappeared at some point..
Thanks for swift reply btw, gotta poke my sysadmin to enable that option to my //home/public_html ;D
Abeille, I've replied, reseted and added another option to the poll if possible vote again.
Thanks.
HighCast, it should be already possible to use the "item" tags..
At the moment I've just planned to add this button thing to the next major version
but before I do anymore development on the next major version please vote
here cause it's something that I need to know for the next major version too.
(Remember major means version jump from e.g. 1.25.6 to 1.30.0 and not 1.25.6 to 1.25.7)

lamapuppy, sorry not yet but maybe I can add support for Joomla too with the next major version..
have to check the package system etc. of Joomla out :)
Hey dc what i meant by database is the site where it pulls the item stats from. A while back there was talk going around about adding a feature that would allow us to select the site it pulls the item stats from. As for the guy that asked about a button to make the "linking" of items easier all you have to do is edit the post.template.php file to achieve this , its what i did and it works flawlessly.
DarkCloud,
First, thanks for porting the plugin. I was wondering if you'd considered creating a version that referenced the new Blizzard Armory directly, instead of a 3rd party site. I believe such a thing has been done for the phpbb version, because a lot of people are very wary of malicious code that's present on the 3rd party database sites, if only because they don't want to use/support/reference such sites. I don't know if a plugin like this is a hazard with what it pulls from allakhazam or whatever else, but I imagine some people would much prefer referencing Blizzard's site directly, even if there is no hazard.
Thanks,
Rasm(frackn)
First of all I want to thank you on making this great mod!
I use SMF 1.1.3 and manually added Itemstats to the smf files to get it to work.
It all works fine but there is one minor problem when posting item links...
When I post an item for the first time using the [ item][ /item] tags the link apears as a normal hyperlink with no color to signify the item quality and no mousover item info box.
Also it generates a link to the following file: forum/itemstats/updateitem.php?item=itemname
When I click that link it upgrades the link with the right color and also displays the mouseover box with item info and when someone else posts the same item it'll work correctly right away.
Is there a fix for this problem?
@rasm, before I add support for new sites like wowhead or Blizzards Armory I'll wait until next week then I'll end the following vote http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=107.0 and decide what to do..
So if you haven't voted yet please do it now cause the problem not only hold me back to add support for wowhead..
@3nrico, there are a few people who reported such a problem but I couldn't reproduce it yet. What did ya exactly do? Just create a new topic and posted one or how many item links?? So no there isn't a fix yet.
I'll bring an updated version tomorrow or on sunday which adds support for SMF 1.1.3
and uses another method to get the informations from allakhazam or blasc maybe it'll already fixes that problem..
And no since this is just a minor update there will be no support for wowhead.
If you want support for wowhead or other sites please go to the following site and
vote. Before you vote read the posts in there maybe they help you to decide what to vote.. http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=107.0
Good Morning.
I am completely aware that I am in a SMF based forum and I feel really dumb asking this because I am using phpbb. But I think the problem I am having is the not forum software. I have the mod installed and it works great! unfortunatly I am having issues with the way its being spaced. I am assuming its in the CSS. But I cannot find whats wrong. My overall_header.tpl the includes are properly in.
Can anyone explain or help me with this problem?
Link to an Item (Example) (http://"http://www.loaded-dentarg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6#6")
Thank you so much
Hi Koljia, what exactly is your problem??
Or how should it look like?? Do you want that the tooltip looks more like the ones
in here: http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=3.msg494#new ?
i apologize for posting this phpBB question on this board, but this is the only place ive found that has active responses to this mod.
here is a link to my test post. http://uncontrolled.fillodeos.com/viewtopic.php?t=21 (http://uncontrolled.fillodeos.com/viewtopic.php?t=21)
I am getting the appropriate color for items in my database, as seen in the first post. but the overlay isn't coming up. If you "view source" on the page, the html for the layover is there. I dont know if this has something to do with the javascript call of the overlib() function. It shouldnt be a browser error because i was able to view the mouseovers on the link in the post above.
also, my item database isnt automatically updated when a new item is posted, as noted in the second post. only after the link is click will the item gain color and point to the correct allakazam page. any suggestions?
thanks in advance,
-Fillo
@fillo300zx, sorry I'm not at home at the moment and I can't really test much here..
I'll check your page out and maybe I can find out what's wrong..
thanks darkcloud, i'll keep messing around while here at work until then. maybe i'll think of something.
update: after comparing page source codes, my site is including an body tag in the arguement that is passed to overlib(). im trying to track down where this string is created so i can modify it.
updated again ::) : found the body tag, ditched it. same prob. foiled again
got it working, i now have mouseover with itemstats using phpBB. for reference, the problem was the overlib.js file, i changed this file with one found from curse-gaming that was specifically made for phpBB
link to the modhttp://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/1719/?cpage=2 (http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/1719/?cpage=2)
i renamed the overlibmws.js to overlib.js and replaced the original in the itemstats folder on my server.
I still do not have the item_cache database auto-populating, but I can live without that for now. it will build as people create items and click them
Hmm that's serious, as far as I know the original itemstats or itemstats for phpBB should work with original overlib and not overlibmws...
As I don't use phpBB I can't help you with te auto-populationg thing sorry
is there anyway to use it in joomla and embedded smf as well?
If i install both my site is a bit empty :) (cannot redeclare error..)
Thanks!
Sorry at the moment it doesn't really work but I'm working on something so that at least
this redeclare error shouldn't happen again... (Using AJAX Tooltips ;) )
But there won't be a version yet for Joomla! at least not from my version..
Ok for those who want to use SMF Itemstats with Joomla and the other itemstats version,
please checkout the following link: http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php?topic=115.0
It's just a temporary solution but at least it works..
Hi DC
First, let me say thanks for this great mod! I have been happily using this for over a year now.
When doing a clean install on SMF 1.1.3 with up-to-date German language pack, I noticed an error message when applying the patch to Admin.german.php and Help.german.php. It appears that somebody has revised these files and replaced ü by ü, etc. thus making the patch fail.
Here's the diff for wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc2-rc3-de.xml that remedied this problem for me.

Again, thanks for this high-quality mod!
Cheers, Andre
Hmpf they did it again -.- thanks for the information I'll take care in the next update.
Mod works great but I'm having one issue. I have this and WOW Characters installed and both do the same minor quirck. When I have the mouse of the item or characters the popup shows up at the top left of the page instead of next to the item or character.
My only thought is that one of the mods affected the other one.
And one other quick question. Is there supposed to be a BBC button in the post screen for the itemstats?

I've been trying a lot of stuff, and i've looked back at everything i've set up for it, and it somewhat seems to work... but the item always comes up in gray, and allakazhan says the item doesn't exist or the server is busy, and it always seems to come up with this.

Depends on your definition of limited, but with the right instructions anyone can do it. The way I have mine setup I have a button and everything... check out the pic below... all one has to do is click the wow item button and the "code" for linking items is entered...

Keep up the good work. I know it must take some serious time adjusting this for every version of SMF.
Not really at the moment it's enough by just adding the new version to the installation xml
but just couldn't get the time to try it out if it's the same with this version too..
Can you tell me if you are working on the [itemico] tag? I would really love to have the pic instead of the verbiage for links. Has anyone else made the modification to allow this? If so, can you link a download here for it?
Thanks..

I thought of an user choice. So the user can select if he wants to see just the icon, text or icon and text would that be ok?!?
Or do you really want something to always show the icon?!
Hi DarkCloud,
Excellent Mod..
Was wondering if you had any ETA on the 1.4 compatible version?
Cheers

Hi bighealbob,
I already working on a SMF 1.1.4 compatible version and try to release it this week/weekend
atm I'm testing the wowhead support cause this will be added too..

The choice would be nice, but if the choice is simply in the tag ie: wowitem - wowicon - wowboth etc....
that would suit more peoples needs i would imagine. Personally, I am just interested in having the Icon, I will export all of the verbiage from one of my other databases to get the name posted next to the icon if desired.
sorry no release yet. Found some bugs that I've to hunt down first before I release it.
In the meantime you can try the following: http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/smf_itemstats_table_layout-t107.0.html;msg554#msg554

Anyone knows how can I fix it? Im using SMF 1.1.4 / TP 0.9.8. No other mods installed.
Thanks,
mOOwalker
Have you already tried it with a clean install of SMF 1.1.4 without TP?
I've tested it on a clean install with the mentioned fix and it works fine for me.
Is Safemode of PHP enabled?? Someone told me that he had a problem with safemode enabled..

I had the same problem with TP and I had to manually install it. I am goona try a clean SMF install and let you know soon :)

Oki.Just tested. Installed SMF 1.1.4 with both webinstall and manual install. Not working. Im having the same problem again. I also did a MASS chmod 777 to all the files of SMF, but didnt work either. And is there any possibility I can make a manual install?
I also checked about safe_mode and its on. Should I request to turn it off? Is there any risk doing it so?
EDIT * I installed 1.1.3 version and I have the exact same error. So must be something with the PHP running at the hosting company. Is there something I can check?

Hi guys!
Here's my idiotic problem which has been annoying me for the last few hours:
I installed itemstats on my SMF 1.1.3 with issues, but I fixed them with your help. Finally, the thing is installed correctly. /cheer
I go over to the forum to test it for the first time and absolutely nothing happens, and i mean nothing. It's like SMF has no idea what I'm talking about when i write [wowitem]. I've used it on other sites before, so its not that I'm writing it wrong or anything. I preview the post and just get the text the same way I wrote it.
What it is? I'm sure it's something really stupid, my brain is kind of shutdown by now, but i really don't know what else to do now.
Pls help?
looks like the mod didn't install correctly even if package manager says everything installed correctly...
Don't know what could cause that, maybe wrong folder rights/settings?!?
I am having this error displayed at the top of everypage of my forums
$txt['itemstats'] = 'WoW Itemstats';
and is producing this error in the SMF forum log
8: Undefined index: itemstats
File: /home/loadedgu/public_html/forum/Themes/default/languages/Post.english.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 779
the error only hits the logs when someone posts a new thread or replies. I am currently using SMF 1.1.4 but the errors have been there for a while, itemstats works just fine other than these errors.
huh which version of SMF Itemstats do you use or do you use itemstats from http://itemstats.free.fr/ ??
I searched my code but couldn't find something like that..
im using WoW-Itemstats 1.25.7
o_O ok I'll check that again as soon as I'm at home again

A parser would be great. Is the best in WOW Itemstats.

It was the Youtube mod.... I uninstalled tried yours again and bam.. seems to want to install.. I'll repost when tested.
I've tested the YouTube BBCode mod and there I get the same problem.
After uninstalling that mod I could install SMF WoW Itemstats and after that I could install
the YouTube BBCode mod again. But I think there's something wrong with the mod anyway
cause I couldn't uninstall it without getting an error in Subs.php and I've installed it on a
fresh installed forum without any other mods..
Done deal.. This mod is awesome Dark... Very nice work. Not sure how much I can send you.. But I will be donating soon. Keep up the good work.

hehe thanks! I'm already working on another version which hopefully will
be more confortable then the current version. Also working on a new parser
system so people could easier add new parsers and hopefully I can get a
version out which will also work on Joomla, phpBB etc.
There are so many things that I want to change and/or optimize I dunno where to start :D
So don't expect a new version to soon, ok if smf will bring a new forum version I'll update the
current version too so you can install it on the new forum but I don't add any new features to
the current version anymore!!

even if I didn't install any other mod..
I am exited about WoWhead support! Allahazham sucks.
However, it seems like WoWhead is only half working. I turned the default to WoWhead but the items still try to come from Allakazham unless i click on every one to get it to search wowhead.
Any ideas?
Sorry I let already existing items untouched so only new items will use wowhead..
If you want to update your current items to have wowhead informations in it, I'm sorry there's no confortable way yet to do that! You could use the following method to update an item.
Enter the following url into your browser and modify the needed informations:
http://<yourforumurl>/index.php?action=updatewowitem;item=<item id or name>;source=<0=allakhazam, 1=buffed.de, 2=wowhead>;method=< id if you use the id, find if you use the name>
You could also delete the existing items but that may cause a huge loading time the first time
you'll visit a thread with many items in it.. so I don't recommend it!!
Ive add an add on for WoW Itemstats that creates a bbc button to be use with the "[wowitem][/wowitem]" code. Click the button and it enters the code into your form for you.

The only small problem Im having is that when you install the package the item.gif gets corrupted. ::) If you get a big red X where the image is suposed to be youll have to upload the item.gif manually to the "yourforum\Themes\default\images\bbc" directory.
You can pull it directly out of the zip file or get it here (http://www.wolfshaven.com/item.gif). (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wolfshaven.com%2Fitem.gif&hash=a3f1f96f8c93b8c4c6ecc06c844eef6fe4f0a4ee)

edit: I will PM the link to you. :)
After playing around a bit more, it seems like anything that was linked on the site before is still being created as Allahkazam if we make a new link, but anything that hasn't been linked in the past (such as Steamy Romanance Novel, lol) is using Wowhead to link.
@esiren:
Whatever you did it work fine for me?
I just posted two new items which I guess wasn't already in your database
and the worked fine for me. Could it be that you've tried already existing ones?
Therefor please read the following:

This is what I wrote on the news site too :)
I see what you're saying now.
That means that if I linked Spellstike Hood before I changed the default to Wowhead, if I continue to link it without doing that update, it will continue to use Allakhazam in the newly created links. I didn't quite understand that.
Thank you!
Yep sorry I'll try to make this more comfortable in the next major release
that you don't have to update every link manually..
SMF has rejected my button mod because its a mod of an exsiting mod and suggests that I ask DarkCloud to include it in an upcoming update. /sigh

Wowhead just released this: http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=3464&p=35822
but you need the itemid and it is only in english
most forum users only know the item name not the itemid
this make wow itemstats so good ;)
Darkcloud.
I made all the changes and i came up final ,with this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare itemstats_parse() (previously declared in /home/mysamura/public_html/forum/Sources/itemstats/smf_itemstats.php:6) in /home/mysamura/public_html/itemstats/phpbb_itemstats.php on line 54
I see in the o ther forum that it is an issue for others, any solution how to come up from this?
Ps
I also tried a different route. I deleted
function itemstats_parse($message)
{
from smf_itemstats.php and suddently all working. Now the prob is that wherever i use [item] code, i have the following error in smf forum:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function itemstats_parse() in /home/mysamura/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php(1671) : runtime-created function on line 11
. I saw that Matthaios at http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/joomlasmf_problem-t115.0.html said that he modified also subs.php. What changes does that file needs, maybe then this error will be fixed?
Maybe its better to uninstall everything and install this one: http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=3464&p=35822#p37618
Ty for your time again, hope we can find a solution :)
damnit, ok the correct way would be to rename
function itemstats_parse($message)
{
to
function smf_itemstats_parse($message)
{
and the search in subs.php for every call of itemstats_parse and rename it to smf_itemstats_parse..
Hey DC, great mod as always love the wowhead use now... however, is there any way to control the size of the item info box... the way it is now the "width" isnt controlled... meaning it spans the full length of the stats hope this makes sense... if not view ( girdle of the gale storm ) by visiting my forum here (http://www.choice-online-gaming.com/bpforums/index.php?topic=2.msg3#new) then see how the box is controlled and sized by seeing how it looks on wowheads site by clicking here (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24388)
Hope all this makes sense if not please let me know and I will try to clarify... Thx.
Edit : If what I said makes sense and is somehow possible the size of the "info box" for the above mentioned item on wowheads site I would say should be an appropriate max size (width wise since you cant control the length of it due to possible info the item may have) for the info box of all items... once again hope all this made sense, Thx.
Hey DC, thanks SO much for adding Wowhead support, much appreciated! I got it installed on my 1.1.4 forum, however it is still trying to get the item icons from Allakhazam. The item info and link is from Wowhead, but not the icon. It shows up blank, and when I view source it shows this:
<img class=\'itemicon\' src=\'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/INV_Axe_84.png\'>
Any ideas?
PS - Also might as well ask while I'm here, is there a way to fully clear the item cache, instead of manually modifying each item to reset to Wowhead info?
Thankyou thankyou thankyou :)
Just downloaded and installed on my 1.1.4 forum and worked beautifully.... great work mate :)
Hello there. I love this mod by the way. I do have an issue with two things. I noticed that if I had the configuration to be set to Allakhazam, I do not receive the icons of the socket pictures when viewing an item with a socket. I receive either the word of what type of socket it is (using Firefox) or receive the little box with an 'x' using IE. I am seeing that it looks for the socket image in the directory before the directory it looks for the main icons.
So if its looking for the main icons in http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/*
The sockets are being looked for in the http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/*
So I decided to move the configuration over to the WoWHead support. It works excellent... except for when I decide to post the wowitem for Magtheridon's head. I receive a:
',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);" onmouseout="return nd(0);">[Magtheridon's Head]
error and it skews my TinyPortal page and though the name is listed, the hover does not work properly. This seems to be the only Wowhead item I can see that will not work... though I did not try alot of them (just the ones that my guild had looted over the course a couple months).
Any ideas? I'm using the newest Itemstats. I never had to upgrade. It was a clean install.
Thanks.
I am having a problem, it just suddenly started today, or at least it was only pointed out to me this afternoon. There are certain items (they are not XXX of the XXX) that show two boxes when moused over, and one of the boxes tends to stick to the cursor until the page is reloaded. I've had to disable WoW Itemstats now because it's rather problematic for people. :\
I have a really dumb question for some, others may ask as well.
I so far have found no documentation how to do this, but how do you change default to wowhead? Also where do you delete item cache? I set up a fresh install of forum and itemstats - I have made one post with linked to gladiator's mail spaulders and get no sockets to display - refreshed with the url for wowhead and now get two tooltips popping up for the item. I am thinking if I set the sources all to wowhead and clear the item cache it may resolve the problems.
I am going to also send this to dark cloud as a PM and will post the respose here as others may also have the same question. BTW I have done this on 3 different sites all with the same results.

error and it skews my TinyPortal page and though the name is listed, the hover does not work properly. This seems to be the only Wowhead item I can see that will not work... though I did not try alot of them (just the ones that my guild had looted over the course a couple months).
Any ideas? I'm using the newest Itemstats. I never had to upgrade. It was a clean install.
Thanks.
Having the same problem,
It happens when you want to link an item which has some quoted text on it like:
Head of Onyxia
Binds when picked up
Unique
This Item Begins a Quest
Requires Level 60
"The head of the Black Dragonflight's Brood Mother"
Those " " are seen on mysql like " "
also on itemtooltips which they show the converted ratings like:
Grip of Mannoroth
Binds when picked up
Off Hand Fist Weapon
113 - 211 Damage Speed 1.50
(108.0 damage per second)
Durability 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves hit rating by 20 (1.27% @ L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31 (1.97% @ L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.
I see them on my tooltips as:
Equip: Improves hit rating by 20?(1.27%?@?L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31?(1.97%?@?L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.
(My board uses Turkish-utf-8)
any way to fix these?
Do you use the latest version of smf itemstats v1.25.9.1? Does it only happen in TinyPortal articles or in forum posts too?
that ?@????? things happen only on TP articles
',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);" etc.. happens on both
Ver: 1_25_8 ( i know that you updated to 1_25_9_1 but i afraid to remove + reinstall cuz have made lots of modifications :) )
EDIT: i successfully uninstalled 1.25.8 and installed 1.25.9.1 + cleared cache table from DB, now i see that items with a description like head of onyxia or etc. which contains """" characters, are being successfully parsing without displaying
',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);...
But still having that
Equip: Improves hit rating by 20?(1.27%?@?L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31?(1.97%?@?L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.
???? problem, weird that when i see the same item on forums, there is no problem, but when i see from an article it happens
Hey guys! So- i had this installed, up, and running. Then i went and changed the width of my template, now i'm getting
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ItemCache in /home/content/b/y/r/byrancarlock/html/smf/Sources/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php on line 8
It still doesnt work if i change the width back to what it was. Only way i can get the forum to work is to actually remove the addon.
Scratch this post! I got it to work. appeared to have been a problem with another mod interferring.
Hey DC, thanks for keeping this mod up-to-date :)
I have encountered a minor (really MINOR) issue with the newest version: there is strange coloring in the tooltips retreived from buffed.de; basically, the item quality color is also applied to the stats and other elements in the tooltip. For an example, please see:
http://www.elementarwaechter.com/portal/index.php?topic=285.msg1172#msg1172
Thanks again for maintaining this great mod!
Cheers, Andre
Hello DarkCloud14,
first of all, let me thank you for your mod! My guild has been enjoying it for a good while now after it had been set up by someone more SMF savvy than myself.
Now, you know this was coming, I would not spam the support thread with just saying thank you. A good while ago, the item search function stopped to function, but using [wowitem]12345[/wowitem] was still working. I took a risk by installing the WoW-Itemstats 1.25.6 package and was delighted that it worked. yay!
Now the same problem is back. When installing the 1.25.9.1 package, I am informed that there is a problem.

Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

Execute Modification .\Sources/Subs.php Test failed
I saw the note that says:
QuoteI've dropped upgrade support of SMF WoW Itemstats v1.24, 1.25 - 1.25.4!
People which still use such old version of SMF WoW Itemstats please uninstall
smf itemstats and install the new version
But since 1.25.6 is newer than 1.25.4 I thought it does not apply to my installation.
Do I need to remove the old versions?
If yes, Uninstall does not seem to work, SMF reports that no uninstall procedure is found.
Is [Delete] an option that should work?
Any help would be very welcome.
Kind regards, Steph.
Hey guys,
I'm having a problem that has been occurring for quite some time and I thought I would wait it out but it hasn't fixed. I installed this mod when my forum was first created. It worked great until about a few months after. I would get this error when I would mouse over a link.
QuoteAllakhazam was busy or the item does not exist. Click to search again.
It looks like some one else that posted in this thread had the same problem and you guys said that it was being blocked by his server. But mine worked when I first installed it. It just stopped working one day. So i'd like some help as to why.
And yes, when I hover over the link, the path of the link is directed to my website, as if it's trying to search my database. My current version of the mod is WoW-Itemstats 1.25.9.1.
Here is my Config.php
<?phpif (!defined('SMF')) die('Hacking attempt...');function WoWItemstats_init(){ global $board, $boarddir, $db_prefix, $settings, $sourcedir, $topic; ########## WoW Itemcache ########### $settings['wowicon_store_location'] = 'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/'; $settings['wowicon_extension'] = '.png'; $settings['wowitem_cache_table'] = $db_prefix . 'wowitem_cache'; // set this to 1 if you want to use a shared itemcache table $settings['wowshared_itemcache_table'] = '0'; WoWItemstats_includeCheck(); WoWItemstats_include();}function WoWItemstats_includeCheck(){ global $board, $boarddir, $settings, $sourcedir, $topic; $settings['include_itemstats'] = false; // only include these things if we really need them // (e.g. in a topic, update an item or deleting not found items...) if (isset($_REQUEST['action'])) { if ($_REQUEST['action'] == 'updatewowitem' || $_REQUEST['action'] == 'cleanwowitems' || $_REQUEST['action'] == 'recent' || $_REQUEST['action'] == 'pm') { $settings['include_itemstats'] = true; } if (preg_match('#topic=#s', $_REQUEST['action'], $match)) { $settings['include_itemstats'] = true; } } if (isset($_REQUEST['sa'])) { if($_REQUEST['sa'] == 'showPosts') { $settings['include_itemstats'] = true; } } if (isset($_REQUEST['topic'])) { $settings['include_itemstats'] = true; } // check if Tiny Portal is installed: require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/itemstats.php'); require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/smf_itemstats.php'); } } }?>
EDIT:
It looks like if I use the item numbers it works. This is strange... ::)
lightfairy287,
that is the same problem that I had and currently have, see my post directly above yours.
I think that the search parameters for the allakhazam have changed, and itemstats needs to reflect that change.
I have not found a solution for my problem yet though.
I've gone through my SQL Databases and found that it is NULLing everything and it is not showing up as items any more. Just either numbers or greyed-out names of the item itself.
I am having a similar problem as lighfairy287
The items come up gray unless I use the numeric value from Wowhead. After I enter the numeric value one time, the item comes up fine no matter what method I use.
For example, I enter
[wowitem]Primal Mooncloth[/wowitem]
and the item appears gray.
Then I try
[wowitem]21845[/wowitem]
and the item renders perfectly.
After entering the numeric value, I try
[wowitem]Primal Mooncloth[/wowitem]
and it renders perfectly, again.
I assume that somewhere along the lines mySQL picks up the information and stores it. Please tell me I won't have to go and enter all these items by hand...
Hi andros13, lightfairy287, Stephanius
can you try the new version 1.25.9.2 and check if it fixes the problem?
I guess you've used wow.allakhazam.com as search source, they've changed something
in the search output and I fixed it with version 1.25.9.2...
@anaef
That problem should be solved with version 1.25.9.2 too please try it.
Thank you so much DarkCloud14!
1.25.9.2 fixed the problem for me.
I was looking for a paypal donate button or similar, but did not find one.
Any chance that you could add that to your support post? ;)
I am still having the issue after upgrading my previous install. I cant figure out how to clear my itemstats cache table.
If I click the item, it refreshes.
Hi timtheenchantor,
at the moment the only way to clear the cache table completly is to do it with e.g. phpmyadmin
but you can also delete not found items in Admin->Forum Maintenance->Delete not found WoW Items
If you use another Theme you may have to switch to the smf default theme as it could be that it doesn't show up in your theme..
@Stephanius:
Great to hear that it works now. If you really want to donate something checkout http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/paypal.html
Thanks in advance
I do not have that option in Forum Maintenance.
even not if you set your Theme to default smf theme??
did you install it manually?? You got any error while installing the package?
Do you have set your language to english? If nothing helps can try this link:
http://<yourforumurl>/index.php?action=cleanwowitems you must be admin to do this..
did you install it manually?? No. Automatic, through the package manager.
You got any error while installing the package? No. The package installed successfully.
Do you have set your language to english? If nothing helps can try this link:
http://<yourforumurl>/index.php?action=cleanwowitems you must be admin to do this..: Maintenance completed and it still shows items are busy or cannot be retrieved..from WoWhead or allakazam.
Serious that you can't see the link in Maintenance..
However I've tested your item and searched on wowhead.com directly and it doesn't exist there!
Brooch of Nature's Fury doesn't exist but there's Brooch of Nature's Mercy if this isn't the item you
want please contact wowhead.com or wow.allakhazam.com as it doesn't exist there too..
Please before you post again about items that doesn't work make sure they really exist and you
can find them with the search function of wowhead.com or wow.allakhazam.com
cause if it doesn't exist there I can't do anything as it isn't my fault..
Point taken. Thank you for your assistance, sometimes those mistakes are made - even by the most experienced :o
Hehe no problem I'm glad that I could help you :D
Maybe I'm not doing this right ::)
I think I've installed WoW Itemstats but it doesn't appear to be working at all.
What I did:
1. Go to this webpage http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=247
2. Download the mod from this link http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=download;mod=247;id=55576 as found on the webpage in step 1
3. Click the radio button next to the text "smf_itemstats_v_1_25_9_2.tar.gz (102KB) [32]"
4. Choose 1.1.5 from the drop down box and clicked the Submit button.
5. Followed all instructions therein.
Problems:
1. There's a section about the file add_settings.php, something to the effect that you can't execute it standalone. What other way would there be to execute it? I ended up just running the row insertion queries by hand. Seems fine.
2. I tried to test WoW Itemstats by using the [wowitem] tags, but nothing happens. For example, if I attempt to post this text "[wowitem]foobar[/wowitem]", the resulting post comes back as "[wowitem]foobar[/wowitem]". It's like SMF doesn't even know that the wowitem tag exists.
3. I noticed in an early post in this thread that there's something that has to be done to Settings.php, but what needs to be done is never mentioned anywhere in any readme anywhere... is there missing or unwritten documentation for this mod?
Do you really need to install the mod manually?? Doesn't it work if you use the SMF buildin package manager??
Pft! I rechecked all the instructions for installing the mod and I noticed a missing diff in Subs.php. I had forgotten to do this step:
- global $txt, $scripturl, $context, $modSettings, $user_info;
+ global $txt, $scripturl, $sourcedir, $context, $modSettings, $user_info;
So, my bad! :o
Also, I don't think I need to install it manually, but I was completely unaware that manual wasn't the only option. Since I seem to be unable (read: too stupid) to figure out how to do this, would you mind posting a link to non-manual (automatic?) install instructions?
This link/button to get manual instructions on howto install a mod manually is new and added
automatically from SMF. I can't control if it's displayed or not :)
So I think you're new to SMF as you didn't know the package manager ;)
Checkout this section of the SMF online manual: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=49.0;sort=subject
I think they've added the manual install instruction button for people who has problems with package manager
and don't know how to read the xml files etc. which are included in every package..
If possible you may try to use the package manager and install the mod again as this will make live easier for future updates.
To do this you must remove the changes of the files which come with SMF e.g. Subs.php ..
Before you may backup the current files, that way you don't have to modify them again if package manager
shouldn't work for any reason..
If SMF WoW Itemstats is the only mod you've installed please overwrite the files with the original ones which comes with the SMF installation instead of undoing the changes as package manager is really sensitive if it comes to searching for parts in a file which it should change.. if there's just a small change as e.g. a whitespace at the end of line where in it's search string isn't one it already won't be able to install.. OK this is just a simple example but I think you may better understand now what I mean..
Do anyone know if it is possible to add Age of Conan itemstat to this smf mod ?
http://forums.eqdkp.com/index.php?showtopic=10780&st=0
DarkCloud -
(a) thank you so very much for the SMF port of this!
(b) do you think you'll be updating for 2.0? :)
@aspenique,
I've planned to do so but I can't tell you when I'm able to do that as I'm too busy at the moment..
@tmyrdal
Planned to make smf itemstats more flexible in a future version so it'll be easier to write own
parsers etc. for other games but this will take some time either and I can't tell you when it's done..
I know its early yet, but anyone tried this with 1.1.6?

I know its early yet, but anyone tried this with 1.1.6?
With the new version 1.25.9.3 it'll work.
I've tried to update wow-items to the 1.1.6 compatible verstion but I keep getting an error when it tests the files before installation. ./Sources/Subs.php Test failed Not really sure what the problem is but I know it is not working to ignore it and install it anyway. Would appreciate some help with this.
Before you installed SMF 1.1.6 or updated your forum to SMF 1.1.6 did you uninstall wow-itemstats?
You should always uninstall any mod before updating the forum software..
How can i make itemstats work for Russian wowhead?
Links are differs, but item number for same item in different languages is the same.
I am using 1.1.6 SMF
As example:
http://ru.wowhead.com/?item=28309
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28309
Thanks))
up
DarkCloud,
With ItemStats 1.25.9.3 and SMF 1.1.6. When you post something starting with an itemlink SMF will bug out saying the post is empty. Even if text is following the itemlink. This only happens with WoWHead tooltips.
This bug is caused by the default strip_tags() PHP function in sources/Post.php is applied on the parsed BCC tags. What happens is that strip_tags() can't handel HTML comments inside another tag. WoWHead puts HTML comments like and in their tooltip HTML. The fix is to strip these comments from the tooltip.
In Sources/itemstats/includes/wowhead.php on line 129:
$item['html'] = preg_replace('##s', '', $item['html']);
Hope that helps.
Ahh that's what several people where speaking of >:(
Never created a post without text before the item.. Will fix that with the next version
Thanks!!
@pomi:
I'll take a look at it and if I've a solution I'll let you know..
Ok I am hitting a wall here, hopefully you guys can help...
Here is my site first of all
http://www.darkaftermath.org
EQDKP = http://www.darkaftermath.org/eqdkp (check item values)
What I have is
SMF 1.1.6
Tinyportal 0.983
Eqdkp 1.3.2
So far I have Itemstats 1.5.5 working in eqdkp (minus the icons..sigh)
I have your version working in SMF
I cannot for the life of me get this to work in Tinyportal.
The links I have on there now are from WoWDigger
I have tried your code in the first page. I tried Laric's code from like page 4 or 5..
Is there 1 itemstats that works on everything??
I have smf/tp in the samve database
eqdkp it its own.
Small update..
It seems to be showing the itemstats....but it has alot of error code too.
string(40) "Unable to connect to SQL host: localhost" Earthwarden
Looted by Gyza
string(40) "Unable to connect to SQL host: localhost" Blinkstrike
Looted by Gyza
That is what is show, however the items are showing. No icon, but the link only.
Fixed the errors. Appears I needed to add the dc14 or what not in the code. However I still cannot get this to work in articles. When I put in the wowitem tag in any article it shows me a white screen.
I have a fresh installation of SMF v1.1.6 and tried installing ItemStats. I am trying to make sure it installed right and test it out, but as soon as I go into my admin panel, I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in .../Themes/default/Admin.template.php on line 1159

1161: ' . $txt['entity_convert_title'] . '
' : '', '
1162:

I checked and rechecked the syntax and it seems correct. I can't quite figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
Okay. I took the problematic line, 1159, and replaced the commas with periods...
' . $txt['maintain_wowitems'] . '
And that seems to work. The link is there in the Admin/Maintenance section, it shows up properly, when I click the button is replies with "Maintenance Complete." So I believe that might have fixed it, but I don't understand why it has to be done that way. *Shrugs*...
However, another problem has arisen. Although the itemlinks in posts seem to work fine, I end up getting an error on my browser when I load a page with a link... Error says:
Quote
Line: 857
Char: 3
Error: Object required
Code: 0
URL: http://defiance.ravendt.net/index.php?topic=2.msg10
And that's all it says. Wondering if anybody has experienced this and would know of a fix.
Edit: It works fine on default board theme, but when I use a different board theme, I get the Javascript error. I tried looking into it but can't seem to figure it out. Any of the files I had to update in the Themes/default, the Theme I am using currently does not have Admin.template.php or any of those. I am at a loss. It just produces the Javascript error, but the itemstats links work fine otherwise, which is strange.
Is this mod dead? Or are we just waiting for an update to 1.1.7?
I wouldn't call it dead. I'm sure DarkCloud is just busy, he hasn't even posted on his own site in about a month. You might try there for some more answers though. www.darkcloud14.de (http://www.darkcloud14.de)
I'm using this on 3 sites that have been upgraded to 1.1.7 without any problems. You might have to do some hand coding to make it work with a fresh 1.1.7 install. I haven't tried it yet.
How do I make an itemstats BBC button?
Thanks for help and a great mod.
I wrote a mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1022) a while back that does this but SMF wouldn't approve it as its an addon for an existing mod. That said...
Add one of the attached images in your Themes/theme name/images/bbc directory.
The item.gif was my original creation and works great if your using this for something other then World of Warcraft.
The itemstats.gif looks more like the warctaft logo and much better on World of Warcraft guild site.
In your Themes/theme name/Post.template.php
Find...
'flash' => array('code' => 'flash', 'before' => '[flash=200,200]', 'after' => '[/flash]', 'description' => $txt[433]),
If your using the itemstats.gif then...
Add after...
'itemstats' => array('code' => 'itemstats', 'before' => '[wowitem]', 'after' => '[/wowitem]', 'description' => $txt['itemstats']),
'img' => array('code' => 'img', 'before' => '[img]', 'after' => '[/img]', 'description' => 'wowitem'),
If you wish to use the item.gif then...
Add after...
'item' => array('code' => 'itemstats', 'before' => '[wowitem]', 'after' => '[/wowitem]', 'description' => $txt['itemstats']),
'img' => array('code' => 'img', 'before' => '[img]', 'after' => '[/img]', 'description' => 'wowitem'),

OK, for those who are technically minded... here's what I know works (because I just made the mistake of uninstalling wowitemstats before upgrading to 1.1.7 and then trying to install the new wowitemstats only to find out that it doesn't like it because it doesn't think that it si ready for 1.1.7)
TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK... IT WORKED FOR ME
1. Open up the latest version of the package and extract package-info.xml
2. Using a text editor, change these two lines in the xml file:
Find:
<install for="1.1.6">
Change to:
<install for="1.1.6, 1.1.7">
Find:
<uninstall for="1.1.6">
Change to:
<uninstall for="1.1.6, 1.1.7">
3. Put the xml file back in the zip file.
4. Install the package as usual.
Yes that should work. For those that upgraded to 1.1.7 with itemstats installed the mod works just fine so installing it on 1.1.7 only runs into the problem with the version number.
Uess something major changes in the 1.X.X series of SMF I cant see the mod not working in the future.
Hopefully the author will get around to updating that soon, as well as a SMF 2.0 port but then many authors are holding out till 2.0 is finalized.
Uhh damnit,
really many problems happened and I'm really sorry about not answering/helping out somehow
but I just didn't have much time and still don't have enough time at the moment but as soon as possible I'll
check out everything and try to help as good as possible
Please help, I really need to get this mod working for my SMF version 1.1.7. When attempting install, I get this error:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.So... I did some research and tried the below fix, and tried finding the below text in the package-info.xml, didn't see these exact words, and any edits I made corrupted the file. Would anyone happen to have this available via a zip or winRar or another way to fix? I'd really appreciate ANY help you can provide.
Please help!

The words may or may not be exact. Anywhere you see "1.1.6" just add "1.1.7". Make sure you save the changes back to the ZIP file.
For now the rename of the 1.1.6 to 1.1.7 works.
A new version is out please try it out and if it doesn't work please post here.
As I've more time at the momen I can help you better at least I hope so ;)
You can also post problems at www.darkcloud14.de
Heya, just installed the itemstats, and was really really easy too do loved it. Currently any item I try to link ends up gray with a black background and says allakazam is busy or item dosn't exist, and will say that even if I change it to search on wowhead or buffed. I'm not the smartest person on how to fix this lol

Heya, just installed the itemstats, and was really really easy too do loved it. Currently any item I try to link ends up gray with a black background and says allakazam is busy or item dosn't exist, and will say that even if I change it to search on wowhead or buffed. I'm not the smartest person on how to fix this lol
Same issue here. Thanks.
@neceros, ssjmarshall
There seems to be a new way that Allakhazam creates it's URLs. Two lines need to be changed in the:
\includes\allakhazam.php file
Line 66 need to be changed from:
//$data = downloadFile('http://wow.allakhazam.com/dev/wow/item-search.pl?itemname=' . str_replace('%20','+',urlencode($name)) . '&showall=1&locale=enUS&search=1');
TO
$data = downloadFile('http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=' . str_replace('%20','+',urlencode($name)) . '&locale=enUS&source=live');
And line 125 needs to be changed from:
//$xml_data = downloadFile('http://wow.allakhazam.com/dev/wow/item-xml.pl?witem=' . $item_id);
TO
$xml_data = downloadFile('http://wow.allakhazam.com/cluster/item-xml.pl?witem=' . $item_id);
This will allow for ID searches. So you'll need to look up the ID before making a post. I hope that helps!
Thanks a ton, its workin with the id's now. As soon as I look up the Id i'm able to use the name of the item because i think it then stores it in the database, just guessing not very up to speed on code and how things work.
Thanks again!
I for the life of me cannot get spells to display. I keep getting the "alakazam could not find etc." error.
Items and weapons work fine, just spells do not. It's quite frustrating.
I also would like to use the java script provided by WoWhead and not the overlibmws provided one. I have the public one provided by wowhead in my header and would like to remove the overlibmws connection, how can I do this?
Hello,
I suck with PhP coding and anything having to do with programming.
Here's what I got.
So far, your mod calls a the internal Javascript from overlib. Now, if you link in the header of your site the Javascript directly from WoWhead:

The spells work... sorta.
If you were to modify your mod so that it no longer uses overlib and now just implements a custom BBCode, returns a link color in the post for item quality but now uses the wowhead javascript, the spells would be linkable.
http://virtual-progression.com/forum/index.php?topic=666.msg5159#new
That's my test thread.
Now, if I enable the above code (the wowhead .js), the link displays the properly, but I get two hover over windows and the overlib/wow .js don't play nicely together. You lose the onMouseOut (I think that's the proper term) functionality and the tooltip sticks to the cursor... pretty annoying.
EDIT:
If anyone is good with coding, I would like to enable the wowhead java to handle the hover overs, but use the mod to generate the links in threads and do the wowhead lookups.
*edit at your own risk!*
I'll do my best to explain what I did to get it working without Allakhazam :)
Edit /Sources/itemstats/itemstats.php
Line #27 looks like this:
$this->info_site = new WoWAllakhazam($method);
Change it to this:
$this->info_site = new WoWHeadDC14($method);
(which was copied from the same wowhead entry a few lines down in the same file)
After a Admin -> Forum Maintenance -> Delete not found WoW Items
... everything worked fine, straight from WoWhead.
I was looking through all the files for something easy to fix, and this seemed the easiest I thought. >.<
As for installation of the current version of ItemStats for SMF 1.1.8, I simply added "1.1.8" after the "1.1.6, 1.1.7" in the "package-info.xml" in both the install/uninstall sections. Re-zipped the file with the change and uploaded it.
I was looking through the site and the creator's site for a WoWhead change or any update and didn't really see anything that I could use so I figured I'd post something :)
Hello everyone, I'm new on the board and especially with SMF.
I try to install the mod ItemStat but I get an error that I can not make disappear. You can find the problem here (http://www.bentinma.com/modules.php?name=Forum&topic=6.new#new).
For those who do not trust the link I put here the errors :
"Allakhazam was busy or this item does not exist. Click to search again" And "',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);" onmouseout="return nd(0);">[18348]"
For information: SMF 1.1.8
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely, ben

DarkCloud has been very busy lately but I'm sure he will get the mod updated as soon as he can.

also a problem with buffed:

Any chance for a version thats compatible with SMF 1.1.8 and uses wowhead instead? =)
edit; made it work with 1.1.8 myself: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=300712.0 :)
Sorry guys I'm busy but I still work on the mod! Currently I'm working on a version for SMF 2.0 RC1 and on support for spells and quests. I try to get a new version with at least SMF 2.0 RC1 support out next weak.
The allakhazam.com search should work again and buffed.de item coloring too. It's possible to upgrade to SMF WoW Itemstats 1.25.5 if you installed the previous version manually by changing the package.xml file.
You can change the default item source to wowhead.com in Admin->Posts and Topics->Post Settings.

Sounds great! I can't wait for a version that works with SMF 2.0 – this really is the most important mod I've been waiting for. Thanks so much, Darkcloud!
Any closer on getting it to work with SMF 2.0, Darkcloud?
Looking for some help, hopefully. I've got a website that I inherited and the itemstats is version 1.25.5 and i'm trying to remove it to clean up what appears to be an funky install at best. It's not listed under Browse Packages, but is listed under installed. A good portion of the files have been removed from the server. I'm looking to clean it up completely. Can anyone provide a file listing for this version, and what modification I need to undo to remove it? Or is there a way to get this version again and try to re-install it such that I can then uninstall it?
Hello there,
I've been running this mod just fine lately, but since today, no matter what source i use in the wowitem tag [wowitem=2,find]xx[/wowitem], it always uses Allakhazam. The default source is also set to WoWHead. Any idea what's going on?
All changes i did was i removed the .js link in
of my template and used wowhead one there, it worked just fine after that, but now it just stopped working, and i don't recall any actions i could have done to cause this.
Hi!
Seems the package won't install in 1.1.9
Any news on when this will be rectified?
Thanks! :D
OK need some help here... Apostrophe's aren't working as they're supposed to be: Heroes' Cryptstalker Legguards and all items containing a ' don't load. so... made a couple of edits to smf_itemstats.php as follows to no avail:
Found:
// Finally, replace the bbcode with the html.
Placed before:
$message = str_replace("'","'",$message);
Found:
urlencode(urlencode($item_name))
(All instances)
Replaced with:
urlencode(urlencode(str_replace("'","'",$item_name)))
None of that has worked. Anyone have suggestions?
So, I had itemstats on my forum and it was working just fine and then recently it stopped working. I uninstalled itemstats, but now when I try to install it again, I get the following...
1. Execute Code add_settings.php
2. Execute Modification ./index.php Test successful
3. Execute Modification ./Sources/Admin.php Test successful
4. Execute Modification ./Sources/ManagePosts.php Test successful
5. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs.php Test successful
6. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/Admin.template.php Test successful
7. Execute Modification ./SSI.php Test successful
8. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs.php Test failed
9. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Admin.english.php Test successful
10. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Help.english.php Test successful
11. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Admin.german.php Skipping file
12. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Help.german.php Skipping file
13. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Admin.german-utf8.php Skipping file
14. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Help.german-utf8.php Skipping file
Anyone know how to fix this?
I understand DarkCloud is very busy, but are there plans to update this to SMF 1.1.10? Or alternatively, has anyone written up a guide to updating this mod to be compatible with 1.1.10? Thanks.
I managed to get this mod working for my smf forums.
- Download the Mod.
- Extract the mod into its own directory.
- Open the file "package-info.xml".
[li]Find the following line:[/li][/list]
<install for="1.1.6, 1.1.7, 1.1.8">
and modify to
<install for="1.1.6, 1.1.7, 1.1.8, 1.1.9, 1.1.10">
[/li]
[li]Find the following line:[/li][/list]
<uninstall for="1.1.6, 1.1.7, 1.1.8">
and modify to
<uninstall for="1.1.6, 1.1.7, 1.1.8, 1.1.9, 1.1.10">
[/li]
- Recompress the directory back into wowitemstats.zip
- Upload to server and enjoy
Remember to backup forums and database just in case.
Forgive formatting. It's late. I'm tired.
Anyone know if this package is being maintained? I can't get it to work on SMF 1.1.12 with either the default template or wow-dk119v1 template?
