General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

Strange, I have not updated anything in the past week or so and suddenly YouTube embedder stopped working. After investogation, i noticed that a pound (#) in somehow being added to the end of youtube links which makes them null after two reloads. So for example this:

When the # is removed, the embedding works again for 2 times, then the pound returns.

I see that others are reporting problems as well and edited the load.php like it said a couple of pages back but that didnt help any. Any other suggestions?

Is it possible to make Standard feature of this mod... when you click an image and it pops out to have the background faded, this brings more focus to the image...

Have you considered that Aeva might stop being developed for future versions of SMF ?. I would suggest you to keep Coppermine if you are happy with it.

Well... first up, the mod's name is Aeva Media, and it actually has its own dedicated board for support, which would likely have been the best place for asking.

The reason for those not being there is some other mod or mods have altered the code before.

lol how arrogant can you get....every topic on the forum you end up pissing off someone....and its not usually others insulting you...its you insulting them coz  they either havent read the manual or are asking which you think is too silly ...or you take offence at the slightest mention that the mod isnt working as it should and then you either provoke them or insult them. After which you conveniently say to the community that these are the people who want paid support for my so faultless free mod and i am doing a great job for the community and without me you guys wont have a mod ....

I for one LOVE Aeva Media, currently use it on five forums, and would like to use it on another.     This is a free mod, and like any free mod we must deal with it's author whether it's good, bad, or indifferent.  If we have personality conflicts....well....any two people are bound to have them sooner or later.  That said, Nao has been on point fixing bugs.  Until I learn to write xx,xxx lines of non-buggy code then I have to ask nicely to use someone else's, be it Nao's or whoever.  I like Nao's.   


Sooooo......can I please get help?

Ah, yes, I forgot: my mod is very buggy. Because of that, no one uses it. Everyone is better off without a gallery mod at all, than mine. I'm shamefully apologizing for releasing such a piece of crap and wasting everyone's time with some code I probably stole from some drunk guy who was taking a leak in my garden.

I take note-- I just have much less time available to work on AeMe, these last few months at least. And right now, I have pretty close to zero motivation in addition to that. Questions tend to pile up and when I come back and see either a lot of bug reports (which may or may not be true, it's not the point) and silly questions, it gets old very quickly.
But you're absolutely right, you're totally the person who should be judging me, because, as everyone here knows, you've been so helpful to the community, you've devoted so much time to helping people around here, you definitely know how it is to have been working for 2 years and a half for a community that sometimes isn't very thankful. You totally own us. You ARE the community!
