@The Brain> No, this still isn't addressed. It's high up in my to-do-list so it'll be dealt with soon enough, hopefully this month. It'll be better than in SMG, because checking 'Members' will actually check all used primary membergroups (as well as members without a group.) That should fix the problem with global moderators, which I *think* happened in SMG.

Sometimes I dream of making it simpler, but I know power users like to finetune their gallery in a very complicated matter. A line has to be drawn as to satisfy both n00bs and power users, I suppose. (This is why I have future plans to merge all permission areas into a single page.)

@rpmilius> First of all, the first bug... I never realized the loadSettings function didn't load the language file. Indeed the code always loads it first, then calls loadSettings. I'll make sure that Beta 3 loads the language strings in loadSettings, it'll be simpler.
As for conversion_url, it's an error in the global variable name. It should be converter_url. I see this happens in all of the converters, and many times. (There's even a 'coverter_url' declaration at some point--BAM!!)
I'll reupload the converters in a few.
Get the converter.php file again, look for aeva_loadSettings and, before it, add these lines:

loadTemplate('Aeva');
loadLanguage('Aeva');

I'll fix it in Beta 3, as I said, but that way you can get all messages without having to wait for the Beta 3 release.

It's a screenshot of a post in rss feed that have an image from the gallery, the caption text ([caption=""]) appears 2 times!

I just noticed that an album I literally just made is showing as posted on May 2009.
My forum was only created last week, so I have no clue why it says this.
How do I fix it?

I have only just started using the media mod, I do notice one thing if I may. It seems all allowed members can download images and other files and no function to disallow downloads. Is there any plan in sight to add this function as a permission? I hate the thought of members downloading my entire image directory at will.

Regarding converters: I've changed my mind and only implemented the template & language loading as an option. So I've been forced to re-upload updated converters, again.

Anyway, it'll be there for future versions: you can now rename the Media tab to your liking once and for all. As always, it can be translated to any language, too. Just set $txt['aeva_gallery'] in your Modifications.language.php file BEFORE the Aeva Media section in that file. (Or, simply, do it while Aeva Media is uninstalled, then (re)install it.)
This is implemented in the latest SVN, and will be in beta 3. If you don't like the idea of forcing an extra isset() call on every page (including non-Aeva Media pages), let me know. I think it's a fair trade. Although this addition won't help at all to restrain the flow of requests in that area. (Argh.)

* Allow admins to override the 'Media' tab name by setting $txt['aeva_gallery'] earlier in the Modifications.language.php file -- Aeva Media won't override it if it's already defined. (install-both.xml)

As for your new question, it's the date the picture was taken. It can be set in the AM settings.

@Rafferty> Download and Mass Download permissions in your permission profiles. I agree that they are totally wrongly named. They should be called "Download" and "Mass Download", for instance.

Is there a temporary "workaround"? For example disabling Highslide will it work?

Thank you Nao and everyone else! Clarification - Everything is fine now with the videos on my soon to be a memory server. To avoid corrupt files and data bases I am starting from scratch on my new server. I am not taking the Aeva MOD with me or any others for that matter.

But once I get to my new home I will be installing this MOD and hope the posts will still show the videos.. It sounds like they will, I hope. If not I will check back here and complain LOL

P.S. I was going to try and convert my 6000 images over from SMF Gallery but maybe it is time to just start all new!

@Filipina> Yes, don't worry, Aeva Media just the same old job just as well.
The SMF Gallery converter works well, as far as I know. Do yourself a favor and use the converter instead of starting afresh. That way you can compare both galleries and their features so you can decide which you like best!

Anyway now after uninstall/re-install I can't access to my admin panel, I receive this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function aeva_loadLanguage() in /forum/Sources/Aeva-Admin.php  on line 2021

At line 2021 I've found:

I'm getting a conflict on install of 176 that I've not gotten before.  Trying to do a replace on ./Sources/Load.php

Find:

Code Select Expand

mem.secret_question,

Replace:

Code Select Expand

mem.secret_question, mem.aeva_items, mem.aeva_comments,

When I look at that file I do see the value it's looking for, so I'm not sure what's the deal with the conflict.

Edit: I reverted back to rev 168 and the install went OK.  But I'm at a loss to know why the replace wasn't working.  I looked in my load.php for some unseen high ascii but didn't find anything that would have caused the problem.  It must be an issue in the 176 installer.
