@Nas - Per-album perms has been in my to-do list but i don't expect this before 2.0.

There are already too many perms for SMG, and people are complaining that it's too complicated to handle... Do you really wanna make it even more complicated? lol

Idea:
SMG Light for the people who have somehow managed to install but never figured out how to enable permissions or find the gallery settings.

SMG Pro for people that want it to be complicated so as to intricately accommodate their needs.

You guys are doing an excellent job, some will always complain and some will always want something more, that's life, you just have to put the filter mode [on] and focus on those matters that really deserve the effort.

Personally, I wouldn't like to see many more versions with thousands new features - this MOD is very good as it is and you should concentrate on squashing bugs and eventual security issues that might surface and help those who are having trouble installing / uninstalling / managing the MOD itself as it is. Hey, but you guys decide what's best, so if you want to add more features, just go ahead with it, no problem at all.

Hey everyone. I am currently using SMF 1.1.7 with this mod. The media gallery is an excellent way to offer your members a way to share images, audio, and videos. I recommend this to any community ! The installation is quite easy regardless if you are installing on the default theme or a different one. The only thing I would suggest is allow the general albums to have the option to write a description for pictures that are uploaded. At the moment only "My Albums" of members can have descriptions for each picture they upload.

After you have uploaded images, simply edit them one by one, you can then add a description, or did I misunderstand you? Hope that helps!

no matter what I do it will not let me uninstall it.. any ideas on what I can do?

Try deleting/clearing all cookies on your machine, also clear temporary files, should sort it?

I am happy with the Nao's work in AEVA and SMF Media Gallery. Nao is Nao and we can't change that. While he made a good job. I don't care if he is a bit sarcastic or not. I love their work and I want him to continue as a developer of AEVA and SMF Media Gallery.

hello there

i have installed smg 1.5.2 and i just found out that my members dion't have the right to see the gallery. i thought there would be an allowance issue so i tried to find through admin panel the way to give them rights over smg, but i found out that there is only an empty space there, no text appears (i run the greek translation) as if there is no text for that in greek. am i missing something here?

MinasC, remember that there are some strings that have to go to the Modifications.greek.php and you can find them in the install-1.1 or install-2.0 and those are the strings for the permissions, found here http://yoursite.com/index.php?action=permissions

Whats your language set in Admin > Server Settings?

Then make sure you edited Modifications.greek-utf8.php and got MGallery.greek-utf8.php.

i already checked those and they are ok. i managed to see the text of msg in permissions by changing server language into english (and then back to greek-utf8 off course), but that doesn't explain why i can't see the text there when i choose greek-utf8.

Why not take the english translation page as it is now, overwrite your greek filenamed page - but for now leave the new greek version as it is - then go into SMG, change to Greek and just check that the tabs/menus etc all appear (in English of course).

Once you're happy that its reading the file correctly, retranslate the new greek version of the file?
